I spent 3 amazing weeks with Violette and Carmo. They're funny and the atmosphere is really great ! The living environment is wonderful, close to nature and animals. The horses are fantastic, I did many beautiful rides, and the days are very varied depending on what's going on. Can't wait to go back someday <3

Although I only spent one week on the farm, I had a very nice time. I really enjoyed spending time with the lovely animals and the other girls who were also working there as volunteers. Together with Violette and Carmo we went on trail rides with amazing views. The work wasn't too difficult, but the organisation could have been better, so sometimes there was a lot of work to do throughout the day. Nevertheless, it's inspiring to see how Violette and Carmo rescue and care for the animals, and I'm glad I was able to be part of this project. I'm very grateful for this experience<3

I had a great time with Violette and Carmo. They are great hosts and we had lots of good talks and fun. They were always there if you needed them and were supportive. The farm is beautiful and the tasks were not too hard. It was fun being around the animals and out in nature. Thank you so much for this experience! :)

I went for a whole month to the ranch. Carmo and Viollette were amazing, they even made a cake for my birthday which i spent in there. The project they have is beautiful. The way they put their hearts and effort on teaching, taking care and giving love to rescued horses is very touching. Both taught me a lot about horses and they explained to me everything no matter how many times I asked about it. Their dogs are very friendly and lovely. The horses are such a beautiful creatures. If you come here you have to understand the effort they make everyday for this project. One of the best.

I had such a great time that i decided to extend my stay. Violette and Carmo are extremely friendly, welcoming and respectful. I had heaps of fun and learnt a lot. It was great to enjoy the nature while working amongst the horses. The horses and dogs are all wonderful. Feeding the horses and cleaning the stables takes about half of your time, besides that there's all kinds of tasks to keep you busy. The house and the volunteer room is nice, the shower is strong and hot, violette is very helpful whenever you need to go into town to do shopping or laundry.

Violette & Carmo are excellent hosts and made me feel so welcomed in their home. They took me on trips around the town to try local foods as well as visiting their friends. Most importantly they do important work on the farm and look after previously neglected animals. They have friendly dogs and the horses are very well trained. You volunteer with breaks in between so the work is doable. As to the most recent previous review, they could not be more wrong! The hosts really look after their animals and are very friendly and helpful. :) thank you for everything!

Although the project itself is beautiful, the experience did not match what was described. We worked many more hours that the agreed before and were asked dying the day to do more tasks than the previously stipulated. Since there are not workers, the hosts rely almost completely on volunteers to keep the place running. The living space was also not clean. Moreover, although we had been assured before coming that riding would be possible, the hosts told us that due to the summer camp we probably wouldn't have the opportunity.

The volunteer experience was not as promised. The exchange included only a bed, bathroom, and a dirty kitchen. Communication was difficult from the start, and the treatment was very distant. The house had bad odors, and the stables were in poor condition. Tasks were hard, and we worked up to 10 hours a day without proper rest. I asked before arriving if I could ride a horse and was told yes, but once there, we were denied. I left early because the agreement wasn't respected. I do not recommend this experience.

I loved my time with Violette and Camo. The horses and the landscape was beautiful and the trail rides were a dream. We were able to participate in a workshop, learning new things about horsemanship and practicing them. We went out to lakes, restaurants and even to a medieval fair. Everyone is super welcome and I love their project with the horses. The work was also totally manageable and scattered in little tasks throughout the day, but we always had still time to relax or enjoy the sun :)

I spent a month here with mixed feelings. The project is inspiring, and Carmo and Violette are very passionate but also overworked, relying heavily on volunteers. Hours were only respected when 2-3 volunteers were present. I enjoyed the events and learned a lot about their horse work. The house can get dirty from everyone working outdoors. If you're okay with simple living and hands-on work, this is a rewarding project with great potential—just come with clear expectations. Thank you V&C for letting me stay longer! 🙏🏼 This review is too short for a full picture, for questions, write me :)
