The experience
Grassroots NGO working to end homelessness and uplift marginalized communities in Kuala Lumpur. Since 2012, we’ve created sustainable, community-driven programs and were recently awarded for our innovation in social impact. Now, we’ve embarked on an exciting new journey — transforming 1.5 acres of land into a farm for the communities we serve. If you’re looking for purposeful volunteering, , this is your chance.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Dance classes:
Take free dance classes at our place.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.
Fast Internet Access:

Intermediate English
Between 21 and 70 years old

Program Details
We recently acquired a plot of land under high tension and want to establish a farm school/plot gardens for our marginalised communities to learn to grow their own food.
Activities & Shift
We start at 7am and end at 12pm.
Tasks are mainly to cut grass, compost and prepare plots for our beneficiaries to adopt.
This is a self cook facility. We provide
1. For breakfast - tea, coffee, pancake flour and sugar
2. Lunch & dinner - we provide rice, cooking oil, salt, cooking gas & stove, pasta, flour and some spices. To prevent wastage, we do not provide food items with short expiry dates such as fruits, vegetables, fish & meat.
Usually our volunteers cook together as a team and pack lunches for next day.
To take pride in where you stay, house chores are divided and takes 10 mins a day.
Rules
Please apply only if you are professional, culturally sensitive, respectful, have the ability to adhere to a routine, timetable & structure to tasks, can be with minimum supervision, mature and discipline orientated.
Our policies are to encourage cultural respect & inclusivity and are non negotiable.
1. Our doors are shut from 10pm to 7am. If you are not back by then, pls stay in the city and come back the next day.
2. Volunteers MUST cover their knees and shoulders at all time.
3. No drugs allowed. (including medicinal marijuana). Malaysia carries the mandatory death penalty for drug possession, usage & trafficking.
4. No footwear allowed inside including indoor slippers.
