If you have time to spare, it's a good place to stay for a week or 2. The food is delicious, the location is surrounded by nature, and the other volunteers and the cooks—especially Miguel and Richma (not sure if that's the correct spelling), were absolutely wonderful people and truly made my stay better. Just a heads-up—the schedule are demanding (8 AM–8 PM with breaks), and organization could be improved. I suggest discussing days off with the host in advance to avoid any miscommunication.

I stayed 10 days in this center and it was a very pleasant experience. The place was big, the residents were nice and the food was amazing. I wished there could be a better organization as it created some tension between the volunteers. Also, some people wanted to have beginner level classes or English meditations (maybe just once a week) ✨

I had a very good week at the community Málaga. The place was absolutely stunning (the temple and the surrounding mountains) and the people were all very kind. I felt incredibly welcome by everyone from the first moment. I think it's a good opportunity to learn more about modern budism and everyone was very open in sharing their experiences and answering questions. The food was amazing and very healthy too. I would definitely recommend this experience!

The word gratitude isn't even strong enough to define everything my soul and spirit feels from this experience. Reconnect with what is essential, learn to put intentions into what you do, value love, gratitude and understand the impact of virtuous actions. putting words to emotions, understanding the connection with the source. In the end, this volunteering experience became a real human and spiritual experience which allowed me to leave with lessons to share with those close to me.

This is the BEST volunteer experience I've ever had. I have never encountered such a truly kind hearted, warm, and welcoming community. My week at Kadampa is one that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. While it was difficult at times with my limited Spanish, everyone made sure that I was included & looked after the entire time. Volunteer hours were always respected and the host always did their best to tailor our hours to allow us volunteers to go to as many meditations/events as possible. This is a special special place filled with beautifully kind people. Muchas gracias por todo!

I had an amazing time at the community Malaga. The jobs were manageable and varied. Working in a team with other volunteers during a retreat brought us closer. Everyone was so open and welcoming and I felt like I was immersed in a community, even with a language barrier at times, which was lovely. I attended a few meditation sessions which were eye opening and in a beautiful location. I recommend this to someone looking for self refection and a community spirit.

I had a truly amazing experience at the Kadampa Meditation Centre. All the facilities are amazing and extremely clean and the jobs themselves are very manageable. I so enjoyed learning from all the great people I met and would definitely recommend this experience if you are wanting to work on your Spanish in particular. From day one to the end of the week the community really made me feel part of the family.

My time here was absolutely amazing and words could not describe how great the people here are. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly; even with the language barrier we had insightful conversations and were teaching each other throughout my stay. The food here was also fabulous and my parents joked saying I was always eating here because of the pictures of the food I'd send them. The facilities are also great; the temple is spectacular and I even got to participate in an English dubbed class where I learnt more about Buddhism and meditation. The work here is simple and hours are respected.
