Experiencing our permaculture garden

I stayed for one week, and it was a really lovely experience. On my day off, I had the chance to explore the village and surrounding region by going trekking and visiting a beautiful waterfall. The daily work was very relaxed and enjoyable, especially working alongside Anggi. We spent our time planting lettuce, journaling, and painting, and you're free to take a break whenever you need. The farm is about a 45-minute walk from the Rhumaku Homestay. There's a bit of elevation gain, it's sporty but doable :)

Definitely an experience to live to discover painting and gardening in a slow mode, and live with the locals. Anggie and the homestay owners are the sweetest, i will never forget their kindness <3

Bhumishanti was a fun and restorative xp, Anggi's warmth and the peaceful atmosphere made me feel at home. I loved learning about the project, planting veggies, and spending time with bunnies. Nana's lunches were delicious! I stayed at Rumakhu Homestay, where the family welcomed me warmly and shared Balinese culture. The combination of meaningful work, cultural immersion, and peaceful surroundings was unforgettable. Thank you, Anggi and Rumakhu family, for your kindness and warmth. I wholeheartedly recommend Bhumishanti for peace and inspiration.

It has been our first volunteering experience abroad. The experience was worth. We have fun , learn about farming and culture and collaborate with this project. Angie and Nana has been very kindness and always asking if we were ok or need something. We recommend to try this experience

My time at Bhumishanti unfortunately is over. These have been one of the greatest weeks of my life so far. The people there where all so nice and welcoming to me and we had a few amazing day trips. The work at the farm was interesting and I had fun weil working. Not like I used to picture work bevor, not hard and exhausting. If I ever go back to Bali I will definitely visit them again. Thank you for the amazing time and the incredible memories I could make☺️💫🐰

I didn't think a week would be enough time to spend here to gain as much as I did, and in some ways it wasn't.. because I would have loved to stay much more time (forever) but even from day 1 I felt SO welcomed, inspired and at peace. It's not surprising considering the name of the farm - BhumiShanti translates to land of peace. 🧘🏽‍♀️🌱I just can't express (bc I keep running out of characters allowed) how much this experience gave me.. and how much Anggie and her community gave me 🥹 It will be impossible to visit Bali again and not visit BhumiShanti and my new family in Pelaga ♥️

I had a beautiful time at Bhumi Shanti. I was initially slightly confused about the set up as I was working on the Bhumi Shanti farm (rather than at the project). the project has a collaboration with Bhumi Shanti. Bhumi Shanti is a small farm run by Anggie. I stayed for 1 weeks and the type of activities included: planting, weeding, seeding, yoga and painting. If you're looking for an intense placement maybe this isn't for you - everything is taken at a relaxed pace and is a great way to decompress. Anggie and the owners of the home stay are super welcoming. A great way to see Bali!

This experiance was truly amazing. It was my first worldpackers experiance and this was not what I expected. I felt very included while learning about balinese culture which I really enjoyed. Anggi and her lifestory is such an inspiration. She created a land of true peace in the middle of nature. Dont see this project as work. It is a great opportunity to learn about farming, balinese culture and yourself. For me it was a week of learning, reflecting and finding inner peace.

Personally, I felt like I was paying too much money. I felt uncomfortable at the homestay due to misunderstandings and situations about money. The room and the bed are good, they provide blankets and hair dryer. You can use the kitchen. The experience with Anggie and the volunteering in Bhumishanti farm and nursery were very good, and I highly recommend it. I worked in a relaxed way, Anggie take care of the volunteers. The place gives you peace and good feelings to give support this project. Terima kasih and I wish you all the best
