The experience

The role is to keep the space clean for guests.
0.5-2h is depending on the number of checkout. The laundry machine runs about for 1 hour.
collect used beddings - cleaning & making beds while machine runs - hang laundry on rack.
I can give good places & free events info and discounts for buying things/services with my membership barcodes. Enjoy Korean culture and nature in Seoul living in three guest rooms house.


What you offer

[One female volunteer at a time] Next volunteer is scheduled following the previous one's departure.
Contribute to our welcoming atmosphere by preparing our space for guests. Stay for free here and explore Seoul's art galleries, museums, river parks, local known places/info, or many free events. You can get Korean membership discounts for booking some entrance/activity/bakery/movie, etc.

# Cleaning Schedule
- Cleaning usually starts around 10:30 am (guest checkout by 11 am, check-in from 4 pm)
- When guests start their days earlier, you can start cleaning earlier as well

# Travel Tip
Highly recommend using Naver Map app in Korea for better routes, menu, pictures, and reviews since Google Maps doesn't work well for Korean routes (military security). Google Maps is still good for seeing foreigners' reviews.


Activities & Shift

Volunteer Staff Housekeeping Duties 🧹
Daily Tasks (0.5–2 hours, starting around 10:30/11:00 am):
1. Strip used bed linen, mattress covers, and pillow covers and run the laundry machine with them.
2. Vacuum the floors and wipe the tables and floors for kitchen and rooms.
3. Clean the bathroom.
4. Hang laundered bed linens to air dry and run the laundry machine with used towels.
5. Replace with clean bed linen, mattress covers, and pillow covers, and make the beds.

Work & Day-off Allocation by Stay Duration
• Every 7 days: 5 workdays + 2 day-offs (weekday)
• 1-3 Nights: No day-off
• 4-6 Nights: 1 day-off
Example:
• 12 days → (5 work + 2 off) + (4 work + 1 off)
Notes:
• Morning arrival: You can choose to count it as Day 1 and start working OR start Day 1 from the next day
• Afternoon arrival: Day 1 starts the next day
• Departure day can be counted as a day-off or a workday if cleaning is possible before leaving.


Rules

A Worldpacker can sleep in the staff room with me or an available guest bed.
Please remain the co-space clean by rewatching and cleaning the area you used before you leave, such as food remains in the kitchen or table.
Recycles in a transparent plastic bag and Non-recyclables in a designated bag.
No smoking inside.
