Definitely loved the team and especially the other volunteers! I would recommend that future volunteers have a basic proficiency in Spanish to communicate with the hostel staff and most of the other volunteers. That being said, I had lots of fun and the team was respectful and accommodating when my phone broke and I got sick :)

Isa!! :) Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed your time with the team and other volunteers. Your suggestion about Spanish proficiency is helpful, and we’ll keep it in mind for future volunteers.

It’s great to hear that despite the challenges, you felt supported by the team. Wishing you the best, and we’d love to welcome you back someday! 😊

Was able to practice my Spanish with customers and staff and was a great place to relax and enjoy the hostel.

Volunteering with the hostel was a great experience to learn some local culture, immerse in the Spanish language and to practice your bartending skills. It was fun and we often participated in hostel events: dancing, games, etc. The chef's made some brilliant meals and the sleeping quarters were adequate (though I would suggest they add some privacy curtains, which is becoming more common and appreciated in hostels). Overall, great time and accommodative staff!

As a first time volunteer this experience was amazing. The staff and other volunteers were very friendly and helpful. I was able to make friends with people from Peru, and also from all over the world. The meals offered were really good and high quality. Thankful to be able to experience volunteering at the hostel!

It was a really nice place with really nice people! I really enjoyed the city, and the location for the hostel was absolutely perfect. The coworkers and the volunteers that was there when I was there was super nice, and it was super fun being at work almost everyday :) The only thing that was really sad for my perspective was the lack of change in work schedule.. I know it could be a bigger job, but working 20-01 6 days a week, really kills of the possibility to be able to really experience the city at night as well. I even asked if it was possible to get a changing schedule, but no answer ://

The people at the hostel are kind and always willing to help. I had a great time volunteering at the bar. The tasks are simple and the amount of working hours were respected. Food Is great and they vary the menu every day. 🫶

It was a great hostel with good dorms and bathrooms who are kept nice and clean. Miraflores could be experienced as a expensive 'barrio' on the travel but the hostel is one of the cheapest places nearby, which is where you live. I lived cheap and relaxed, but when you have some money to spend this is a good location aswell. Cool city and thanks to the team for feeling at home far from home, 5☆

It was my first experience as a volunteer and couldn't be better! The hosts were amazing, all friendly and patient with my terrible Spanish. I've learned a lot from them! My special thanks to the bartenders Pablo and Carlos, who treated me as family, and the boss Margot that was so comprehensive when I got sick and couldn't work. I would totally come back to my new family in the hostel ❤️

My experience at the hostel was great, I worked in a great environment with friendly staff which helped me improve my Spanish a lot. The food is good and the accommodation is comfortable. The hours and tasks and benefits were respected as listed on the position offer. I would recommend this experience to other travellers looking to volunteer in the hostel.
