The experience
The café is a big part of our meditation center. General cleaning is involved in the café and also around the center. The café is a nice environment however can be very busy and physically demanding on your feet all day. We give you training however some knowledge of café environment food prep and cleaning is helpful. We work as a team helping each other. Two evening meditation classes are available weekly to attend plus some Sunday classes.

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Program Details
In exchange for 30 hours of volunteering we offer food, en-suit dormitory accommodation (bunk beds)two to three Buddhist meditation classes a week. We offer a kitchen stocked with food to prepare your own meals and lunch is from our café during café open days.
Activities & Shift
Volunteering is generally Tuesday to Saturday 9.30am to 4.00pm with 30 minuets lunch break. Sunday and Monday are rest days. Most volunteers help in our café but other activities such as cleaning, household and painting is required. Volunteering involves the moving of café furniture daily outside to the terrace and washing up and cleaning toilets.
Rules
As a Buddhist center the rules are
no cooking or consuming meat or fish on the property.
no taking intoxicants (Drinking alcohol and taking drugs) on the premises or coming in to the building intoxicated.
no lying stealing or engaging sexual misconduct
