I cannot imagine better hosts than Sam and James, a lovely couple. They are incredibly patient, showing me everything with care and passion. Their generosity knows no bounds—they offered help whenever I needed it. They have a unique gift for seeing the beauty in everyone and are always quick to share kind words and encouragement. Living with them felt like a fairy tale, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, wonderful people, and their adorable dog, Princess Noodle. They are truly amazing!

Sam and James are simply the best! They provide a very meaningful and environmentally conscious experience in the beautiful Corrèze region of France. I felt immediately part of the family and my expected tasks were very fair. I absolutely love their little inn and all that they are doing to provide a beautiful and relaxing experience for their guests and volunteers. Sam is an incredible chef and is so innovative with ingredients and presentation. A true artist in the kitchen! James provides beautiful bike rides around the Corrèze region along with working hard around the inn. Simply the best!

Sam and James are terrific hosts. If you're looking to learn about running a bnb, or about the guest house, they'll gladly let you in. You'll get your own room, and a shared bath, as well as good meals. Work is in two shifts, breakfast and dinner, and you get days off when there are no guests.

I couldn't have asked for better hosts as a first time volunteer, Sam and James made me feel at home right away. They're great teachers, lovely people, and truly passionate about their business and way of life. Sam is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to cooking, I learned a lot of tips and tricks that I will take with me, and the meals we enjoyed every day were simply fantastic! Corrèze is beautiful, picturesque, and with the animals around the property you can't help but feel relaxed and in touch with nature. It was an unforgettable experience that I'd gladly recommend to anyone.

Spending time with Sam and James was a valuable learning experience. Both are great hosts and fun to talk to. It was amazing to improve my cooking skills, especially in French and English cuisine, and also to learn about their culture. I also consider that I learned a lot about hospitality and business. The experience is a full immersion in nature, and I also had an amazing time sharing meals with guests from America, England, and France. I will forever keep Sam's care in my heart.

The guest house was a very lovely experience. We went together with my girlfriend, and from the first day, we felt right at home. Samantha and James are two incredible people, very warm and attentive, as well as their sons, Will and Ben. Our work was tough, as we were there at a time of year when the place was preparing for the season, so the tasks were a little different than we expected. It's a splendid place to connect with nature, and it served me well for practicing my English.

We stayed at Chateauret for two weeks in mid-April. Sam and James are wonderful hosts, as are their sons, Will and Ben. They are very welcoming and made us feel at home from day one. As for the work, it wasn't what we were expecting, but it was okay. We worked in the garden, cleaned part of the lake, and helped move logs from five big trees they were cutting down. It was hard work, but we learned a lot about maintaining a large estate and country house. Sam is an AMAZING cook, so rest assured, you are going to eat well here 😅 Thanks Sam and James for everything. We hope to visit again soon ❤

Sam and James are amazing people! We enjoyed our stay very much, and felt warm and welcomed. They treated us like family. The work was not hard at all, almost every day we would work on something different and learn new things. Sam's cooking is fantastic! She is a MasterChef! And we also got her recipes, hihi :) It really felt like home away from home and we are really grateful for this experience. Suggested to anyone without any doubts❤️

I connected with their lifestyle since I arrived, the perspective of sustainability and from their actions to be able to help to have a better planet 🌎 The accommodation is very nice, comfortable and the food is exquisite, Sam teaches us her recipes and we help her to cook. Both Sam and James tell us each day the activities to do, explaining and guiding us to do it in the best way. They are a very nice family and being there as a volunteer makes you part of it. It is also a good opportunity to practice english all the time. Thank you very much for everything :) 🏡😁
