Overall volunteering at the Center was a great & memorable experience. Although the hosts/owners were not there - based on some opinions & other reviews this was a positive thing. The quality of the facilities are luck of the draw for volunteers & residents are spread throughout the property. The working days/hours are fair - expect to do more than just cleaning & gardening. The acting management was great & heavily influenced the positive experience we had! They were very understanding, willing to adjust to your needs & ultimately want everyone to have a good experience.

The Center is a magical place, surrounded by contemplative nature and powerful energy. Although it's only 40 minutes from Auckland, it's isolated, with no public transport and few distractions. The Wi-Fi works only in the annex, and the 3G/4G connection is limited, making it ideal for those seeking to disconnect from distractions and reconnect with themselves and their spirituality. The therapy schedule is light, but the 24-hour open temple offers space for meditation and activities with other volunteers. The work is relaxed, only 3 days a week.

The Center is a beautiful place surrounded by wonderful nature, it forces you to slow down the pace you usually go in the city and be more present with yourself and your surroundings, the atmosphere is also very pleasant and welcoming. On the other hand, part of the gardening volunteering is lifting on uneven terrain so it can be a bit difficult. Even so, I am grateful for the time I was able to be part of this volunteering and for the wonderful people I met.

Overall, my experience at the Center was incredible, with plenty of sights to see and a beautiful natural setting. I formed wonderful relationships with other volunteers and residents. However, communication within the work organization needs improvement. Interactions with the owner were brief and lacked important information, making it hard to ask follow-up questions since work is unsupervised. Additionally, be aware that yoga lessons are not always available and are either donation-based or fee-based.

I had a wonderful time at the Center; a two-week stay turned into six weeks. The sense of community among volunteers and residents was very special and I never tired of the surrounding nature and walking beneath the stars at night. I made valuable friendships during my stay and was afforded ample time and space to relax and have fun. Meditation and yoga was optional but only occasional – this was not an issue for me but might be for others. The work itself could have been a little more organised and educational, but on the whole I found it to be fulfilling and fair.

My stay at the Center was truly great. the Center is a place in the middle of the most beautiful nature with breathtaking beaches nearby. The stay here really gave me the opportunity to slow down, reflect upon life and myself, connect with nature and get in touch with a more spiritual way of living. However, there are quite a few organizational problems and I would say it's rather the community of the current residents that made my stay really worthwhile (and that community can always change). It also should be mentioned that classes like yoga etc. are not guaranteed and rather seasonal.

This was a unique experience. I enjoyed my time because of the other volunteers, residents, and free time. The main negative points are the lack of organization, leadership, and communication. There is a lot that is unclear before you arrive and during the working hours as you are unsupervised. You will likely experience an unpleasant interaction with the host because the instructions are unclear and you probably won't do something right. Despite all of this, the people were friendly and the food was great. Be prepared for solitude as you cannot go anywhere except the beach without a car.

Great experience for off the grid and quaint lifestyle. Natural beauty was amazing. A few improvements needed in regards to organization and management but overall a good volunteer experience. Nice people and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the area

This was truly a unique experience where I was able to immerse myself in the surrounding nature and create lasting connections. Although it wasn't as spiritual as I anticipated, I felt like I was part of a family shortly after I arrived, and the few free yoga sessions were great. We were given a lot of free time where I was able to immerse myself in the local culture and explore on my own which I really appreciated. I think the work could be organized a bit better and I wish I was met with more kindness from the owners, but it wasn't unmanageable. Overall, I would recommend :)

C'était plutôt sympa, on est bien accueilli et intégrer à la communauté. Il faut juste prendre en compte qu'on est vraiment loin de la ville ce qui peut être complexe quand on a pas de voiture.
