I spent a month at the Center and had a wonderful experience! The property is huge and surrounded by nature. Us volunteers only work 3 days a week and it's manly cleaning or gardening. What made this place so special and magical are the volunteers I shared this experience with, as we spent our days off together exploring the stunning area ;) Management and communication from the hosts/owners could be improved - being flexible is essential.

My time here as a volunteer has been wonderful, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with many amazing people from across the globe. Cam, Kelly and Sam have been fantastic and welcoming. The work is very good in comparison to other volunteer placements in New Zealand. The landscape and local area is beyond stunning. To anyone wanting to spend some time in the north island bush I recommend highly. My only complaint is that pickup of new volunteers should be regular, not occasional, as the Center is not on any public transport links and taxis are expensive. Cheers everyone at the Center

The Center was a great experience for me! I really enjoyed the diversity of the community and the volunteers i had the opportunity to engage with. It was a welcoming environment and i feel we got along well. The work schedule was adhered to and the tasks were upkeep of the area and facilities. Three days on four days off. Completely reasonable for the exchange. I loved that they put you on a task and leave you to do it on your own. No micro managing. If you stay here i would recommend that you stay flexible and take initiative. I highly recommend this stay. Would like to have extended mine.

I had a great stay in the Center! We were a nice group of volunteers. The tasks were mainly gardening and cleaning. And the location is immersed in amazing nature! Close to the ocean and to many waterfalls.

The Center is a true gem. The property transports you to a whole new world, truly one of the most beautiful places I've had the privilege of visiting. The night sky here is unreal. I was originally supposed to stay for two weeks but that turned into a month. All of the staff are wonderful and really make you feel welcome. The hours for work are respected and reasonable, also offering flexibility. the Center, between the staff, volunteers, and residents, left a lasting impression on me and I hope to be back soon. Highly recommend this place for tranquillity away from the city-life. 💚

I truly had the most amazing time at the Center. It took a couple of days to settle in, but once I did it was nothing short of amazing. The location and nature is just breathtakingly beautiful - the only way I can describe it is super grounding. I fell in love with the community at the Center, the volunteers and the residents are uniquely beautiful in their own way! The work was super chill. I actually really enjoyed being outside and doing gardening and cleaning when it needed to be done. There's such a great work rest balance with a lot of free time to explore

Is an absolute privilege to be part of this loving community. There are around 8 volunteers at all time and another handful of residents staying in the premise so is very easy to find company in this place wonderfully secluded in the middle of the forest Things to have in mind: There is wifi in just two places (any in the residential facilities) and is far from the city the Center, kind of hard to reach Great place to bond with other people and enjoy simple life of dwell in the natural beauties that surround the premise (less than an hour to reach the beach and 30 min to a the Center waterfall)

Wow! What a place the Center is! I've stayed for 3 weeks and had really amazing time filled with peace, nature, love and much more. I've lived in a super cozy van, next to the most beautiful look out. Kelly was such an amazing welcoming human! And Sam! I've met so many great people, volunteers and residents, and felt like home, we went for little trips, did some fireflow nights, community dinners, yoga sessions hosted by volunteers, Kirtan singing with uncle Phil and much more. The work is easy, I've done mostly gardening which was fun and relaxing job. I am so beyond grateful! ❤️

The Center has been a nice experience to reconnect with myself and nature, avoiding the rush of my daily routines. The best part of it has been meeting other volunteers and some residents. They've been so kind, and we've had a really nice time together. Sometimes, the tasks are high-demanding, but you only have to work three times a week. Also, it's important to be aware that the place it's not close to town, so you'll be only able to do shopping once a week. Nonetheless, I do recommend this experience if you want to learn a different way of living and meet nice people in an awesome place.
