I had so much fun here at the hostel. The tasks were easy and got done fast. Lena and Nanu were amazing hosts, very welcoming and caring. The village was quite small but still very cute with lots of things to do.

This was a wonderful stay. It was a cute, quiet village with beautiful scenery. Every night was hanging with a handful of travelers on the rooftop. The work was simple and straightforward. Nanue was always there to chip in and help out with the work. His wife Lena was always dropping off different snacks or food to try. Her cafe nearby is amazing and you get a great discount. The stories shared are great you learn a lot about the culture and how to explore the lake on your time off.

My experience at this hostel was absolutely amazing. Lena and Nanou were excellent hosts. They are so welcoming, caring and kind, just great people! The hostel is soooo nice, very very clean and the work was super easy. Couldn't have asked for a better time here! :)

Lena and Nanou are such warm and wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home in the hostel and in Sun Moon Lake. The workload is usually divided between two volunteers, which allows for plenty of time to explore the surroundings. The hostel itself is very comfortable with great beds and an amazing rooftop where you can spend cozy evenings.

My 2-week stay at Sun Moon Lake was amazing. Nanou and Lena are really great hosts and amazing people in general. The work was relaxed and flexible, so that I had a lot of time to socialize with guests and explore the beautiful lake. The hostel itself is very relaxing and pretty, (especially the rooftop), the beds / rooms are comfortable and in general the vibe is great for socializing. Also, Nanou & Lena are very familiar with the area which is why they can give great tips one wouldn't know otherwise. Finally, I can only recommennd this project and want to come back one day. Since first day I arrived in Sun moon lake, I got a very good time here. Nanou and Lena are wonderful person, they let me feel very welcome here. The hostel is new and the area are cool, the work was easy and relaxed. 100% recommend you to come here to have a great experience and enjoy your time in Taiwan

I had an amazing time at the hostel! Nanou and Lena were the absolute best and I'm going to miss them and the whole family as I continue on my travels. The work was standard hostel work and very manageable. The hostel is still new so I was one of the first volunteers to come here and Nanou was really good about communicating and checking in to make sure the workload was fair. He and Lena also included me in many community events which I really loved and appreciated. I will definitely be back to Sun Moon Lake!! 💛
