The hostel is a fantastic place to volunteer at. From day one, Nanou and Lena made me feel at home, treating all guests and volunteers like family. The work is simple and straightforward and takes only couple of hours. The hostel itself offers countless opportunities to connect with other travelers, especially during the gatherings on the rooftop, which quickly became one of my favorite spots. The room is very spacious/clean with super comfy beds and free breakfast. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves nature and good company! Merci Nanou and Lena for making my stay so special

I had the best time at the hostel. It was my first volunteering experience and it was amazing. I felt welcomed and comfortable from the first day. The work is easy, it's mainly the cleaning in the morning but i was never alone , either another volunteer or the owner where there as well wich made the work fun :) In my free time i explored the area around the lake wich is beautiful, chilled on the rooftop or had a good time meeting other travellers. So i really recommend volunteering here! Lena and Nanou made my stay unforgettable! Thank you again :) Woop Woop

I absolutely loved it at the hostel! Nanou and Lena are more then wonderful and the work is as I expected. The guests are a mix of both international and Taiwanese which made socializing with everyone very interesting because you can see the cultural differences. My favorite place was the rooftop where I spend most of my days even though there are beautiful places all around the lake to discover and the people are all so nice. Lena and Nanou made the hostel feel like a home. If you like to be social and enjoy nature I recommend this Hostel 100%!!

I had an amazing time at the hostel. I cannot reccomend it enough to anyone who may be interested. You are surrounded by lovely nature and have the opportunity to explore the area in your free time. You can swim in the lake and enjoy the beautiful site seeing. The hosts are so lovely and will look after you and make you feel like a part of their family! A place that feels like home. I loved my experience here. I was there for a short time but from the first day I felt the good energy, affection and kindness of Lena and Nanu. They are very nice and care about everyone's well-being. The work is as described, the tasks are those that correspond to a hostel. During the day there is enough free time to explore the area and make daily trips on your days off. The place is very cozy with a common area that invites you to relax and spend a pleasant time. I met many guests who are now even good friends. thanks Lena and nanu. We will see us again!! !

Nanou and Lena from my first day there made me feel very comfortable and as a part of the team. They are truly exceptional hosts that care very much about all guests and volunteers. They were very committed to making sure my time there was nice and interesting. The hostel gives you a lot of opportunities to meet other travelers especially at the evenings when everyone gathers on the rooftop. The surroundings of the hostel is great too. You can spend time there actively, cycling or walking in the beautiful nature, and get to know the culture of local communities. I highly recommend this place!

I had so much fun here at the hostel. The tasks were easy and got done fast. Lena and Nanu were amazing hosts, very welcoming and caring. The village was quite small but still very cute with lots of things to do.

This was a wonderful stay. It was a cute, quiet village with beautiful scenery. Every night was hanging with a handful of travelers on the rooftop. The work was simple and straightforward. Nanue was always there to chip in and help out with the work. His wife Lena was always dropping off different snacks or food to try. Her cafe nearby is amazing and you get a great discount. The stories shared are great you learn a lot about the culture and how to explore the lake on your time off.

Lena and Nanou are such warm and wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home in the hostel and in Sun Moon Lake. The workload is usually divided between two volunteers, which allows for plenty of time to explore the surroundings. The hostel itself is very comfortable with great beds and an amazing rooftop where you can spend cozy evenings.
