It was my first workaway but it could not have been better. We spent our days swimming in the lake and exploring the nearby places. The children were really sweet and I really hope they're gonna have a better future. I definitely recommend this experience to anyone who likes children, nature and chill vibes.

A wonderful experience at the home! I learned the bartending trade and gave English lessons to children in a school. El Remate is a very pleasant and authentic town to live in, and the home offers the best view of the sunset !!🤩 I recommend this enriching experience 100% ! Thanks for everything Richi 🤗🌞

My time at Ricardo's place was great! I can tell he is very committed to the English program he started for the local children and is definitely something that can boost their chances for a better future, so I'm very glad I was able to contribute for some days. The hostel is beautifully located, with an amazing beach and perfect sunsets. Very relaxing atmosphere and great vibes. Thank you!

I loved my stay in El Remate! It's a tiny village near Flores, directly next to the lake in the midst of nature where there really is not much to do, so be prepared for some chill time and swimming in the lake. Ricardo is the nicest most relaxed host and the kids he's teaching English are the cutest!! I had so much fun helping to teach them! Muchísimas gracias por todo! :))

I loved my stay at the home, Ricardo is great. He helped me with everything I needed, it's perfect to chill outside of the city rush next to a lake. Work is also easy, every day we did 1 hours English class to the most amazing kids. I always felt like a part of the community because they were so amazing and fast learners. We danced, sing and learn English through different types of games. Ricardo was super chill and made this volunteering amazing experience!

Ricardo was an amazing host! I felt right at home here, the location is beautiful and perfect for someone who wants to stay closer to nature, right outside of Flores. It was truly a unique experience. I even helped teach English to the local kids which was one of my favorite things in the world. I met lots of locals, learned a lot of Spanish and made friends I will remember forever. :)

The lake view was mesmerizing and the weather warm even at night. Space was clean although small (& the dog "Margarito" was lovely). Host was easygoing and flexible but not very present during my stay. Since "El remate" is quite a remote location with only open road and no sidewalks getting far by foot practically imposible. I had trouble with the public bus on the way back to the Central Fuentes del Norte and the host wasn't there although one of the things being offered here in the app is transportation. Overall I feel like the security could also improve.

My experience with Ricardo was amazing! The schedule was not too fixed, it was easy to communicate with him and I could choose my days off as well. It was my first experience teaching French and I would totally do it again. The guest house is amazing especially the backyard with the view on the Lake. Overall I would recommend this volunteering to anyone who would like to experience the local life and get in touch with nature.
