Volunteering at Buddhist Centre

My stay at MKMC has been very moving. The center is surrounded by nature in a very peaceful location. I was serving in the World Peace Café and found lot of joy and purpose while doing so. The team was very nice. At the same time, the energy of the place got my emotions out in ways I would have not expect. So come ready to be touched in any direction! It has been my first experience with Worldpackers and as a host MKMC has been very good so far.

Deciding to volunteer at this place was the best choice of my life, the place and the people are incredible, everyone welcomes you very well and they are very patient to teach you the tasks, the work is fair and the cultural exchange is incredible, it's an experience with perfect immersion in English culture, you grow a lot as a person and as a professional because you acquire several skills

The project center is a place where you can find peace, nice walks though the woods and beach that surround the castle you will live in. Everyone is very nice and they will be always available in case you need them. You also can assist to the meditations and courses to learn about buddhism. You have plenty of options from where to choose like the world peace coffee, art studio, kitchen, households, etc. Is a little bit far from the nearest town but is also a nice walk wich you willl end up enjoying it.

Very happy with the time I spent in the Center. I was really surprised by how friendly and open everyone was. What started just as a volunteer to improve the Center became something that I hope will stay with me for a long time. Many thanks for everything!

It was my longest experience volunteering so far, and I have a really good time there. I learn a lot of things in the areas I volunteered (I could experience 2, art studio and the cafe) and about the Buddhist. I meet people around all the world and that was incredible! The meals were delicious, I love it :)

My stay at the Center was one the best decision I've ever made. The experience was so amazing that my 2 weeks stay felt like a 6 months one. Every person at MKMC, resident or volunteer, was so receptive, kind and willing to help that it really feels like a big family. Everything worked as agreed and the facilities are nice, clean and organized. If you want to learn a little about Buddhism, practice English and/or visit UK, it's definitely an amazing option!

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was wonderful. I got to meet so many other travelers from all over the world. I'm not a very spiritual person so I was a bit worried about going to a buddhist the project. But honestly if you don't want to, you don't have to engage with it at all. You can just go to the nearest pub and watch football of evening classes about karma aren't your cup of tea. Everyone is really welcoming, the work isn't hard. Don't think you could find many other cafés this stress-free.
