It was a great choice to volunteer with the school and the time I have spent here has been impactful and fun! After traveling for a while it has been great to have a place that feels like home and regular friends to share life with. The students are all amazing and keen to learn whilst also share their culture with you. I believe I have learnt as much as them and feel grateful for their support and attitude. the school is a thoughtful, hard working and very friendly host (friend) who is flexible when working through any issues. It has been a privilege to be part of this experience.

The school was a great experience to meet local people and be immersed in the Vietnamese culture. the school was an excellent host - fun, chill, always willing to learn, competitive (mainly at chess and card games) and very respectful of everyone and anyone that comes in and out of the school. Location of the learning centre was great, with food, entertainment and a shopping centre nearby. What really made my time at the school enjoyable were the people! Both teachers and students were all awesome to get along and hang out with, and great memories were made! I would definitely come back 😊

I had the best time in the school's home! He's the best host, thanks to him, I always felt welcomed. He's passionate host and teacher. Location of English studio is good, located in Go Vap, Hcmc. Takes around 40~50mins by bike to city center like district 1 or 2. And you can get cheap, good food and coffee. Working time is like 1.5 ~ 3hrs a day, 2day offs a week. If you want your weekly schedule, the school'll let you know. Teaching was funny and rewarding. All the students were nice. If you struggle teaching, you can ask the school, he'll help you teaching. Overall, 100% worth trying!!

I really learned a lot from teaching/talking to the students and they from me. I was welcomed hospitably and you can contact the school with all your questions. I had several nice coffee/lunch/dinner dates with the students and I was even taken on a 2-day trip by a student and saw/tasted a part of Vietnam that I would otherwise never have seen. The lessons are 1.5 hours each time in the morning, afternoon or evening and in consultation you do 2 per day. The house/school could be a lot cleaner and tidier but for me it was not a big problem. I would definitely come back if the opportunity arises.

I feel very lucky to have participated in the school project. The students, the other teachers and the school himself are all amazing. I first arrived in a Friday night and was immediately greeted and invited to join the students + teachers gathering, I felt part of the community very quickly. the school and the students are happy to share lunch or dinner with you. The dorms are in the same building as the school itself = no commute expenses. The students vary in age from children to 50+ , their motivation for learning English is different and it is great to learn about their lives.

I stayed here for a little over a month and I had a lot of great experience here! the school (Brian) is very nice and helpful host, he is always ready to help and share his knowledge. Volunteering hours are very flexible and gives you opportunity to manage your own schedule. I had a lot of fun going out with students for coffee, dinners and even cinema! It's a great opportunity to share your life experience and knowledge with local people. Definitely recommend!

Brian is a great guy and a fabulous host, the living situation could use some tidying up but that's part of the experience and wasn't a problem for me, just something for future volunteers to know, but anything you need accommodated for communicate to him and I'm sure he will acknowledge it. Brian offers a unique experience here to teach English and get immersed in local culture in a non touristy area with some truly amazing locals and fellow travelers, would definitely recommend!

I spent two weeks at the school and would come back in a heartbeat! At first, I wasn't sure what to expect as it felt a bit disorganized, and I wasn't sure where I fit in. But within a day, I settled into the laid-back atmosphere and fully embraced it. The students were incredible—not just eager to learn, but also so fun to talk to and learn from. Beyond teaching, I made real connections over coffee, exploring the neighborhood, and sharing stories. Most of all, the school was always full of positivity, making every moment a joy. I'm so grateful for my time here and will definitely miss it!

I spend 10 days at Skyhome. the school and Khai are really nice and even if they were busy, they tried their best to help me anytime I needed and show me around town. However, I would recommand to come with friend or with other volunteer, i was a bit lonely when everybody was working. The student are lovely. The job is pretty easy and the schedule can be flexible if needed. The only down fall would be the accommodation, a couple of thing need to be fixed (no hot shower 😭), not really clean and it is a bit far from the center (but you can take cheap buses to go).

Stayed for 9 days and i wish i could've stayed more! From the first hour i felt home everyone was so welcome and social and helpful in every aspect! The schedule was really flexible and whatever you ask they won't be annoyed and will do anything to help you! the school is an amazing person especially when you get to know him and Khai was one of the friendliest people i met! And Faustine which was another volunteer was super fun and friendly and just made the experience complete! Both classes the kids and adults are both fun to experience and teach.
