Help at rural eco campsite/ guesthouse with rescue dogs and cats.
The experience
Usually we walk with up to 6 rescue dogs first thing in the morning followed by a wide variety of tasks around the place depending on what needs doing and the time of year. Spring involves garden tasks, in autumn we make wine and preserve fruits and vegetables. We make craft beer several time through the year. There are cleaning and other jobs like recycling and renovation projects connected with the campsite and guest house.

Program Details
Volunteers need to be comfortable around dogs and cats and enjoy walking in nature.
When we are busy during the season we are also looking for responsible, friendly volunteers to help with the day to day running of the campsite and guest rooms. This will involve welcoming people and checking them in and answering any queries they may have. You will need to speak some English and also another language would be useful (but not essential).
We are happy to help develop your English language skills if you are not a native speaker.
You will usually be working alongside one of the hosts but other times you will need to work independently using your inititive.
Activities & Shift
The day usually starts around 9am with a dog walk in the local countryside. Then we work on various tasks usually till about 2 pm followed by a shared lunch.
The afternoon is then free.
Other days you may do a split shift working a couple of hours in the morning and again early evening.
Occasionaly we just need someone to be around in case anyone shows up and this can be anytime between around midday and (occasionally) midnight!
We eat an evening meal together, cooked either by us or the volunteers.
Household tasks including washing up and cleaning communal areas that are shared by everyone.
