The experience

Vegetarian hostel is looking for a passionate and creative Vegetarian/Vegan cook to prepare meal for the hostel staff five days a week. We have a well equipped kitchen for you to use in order to make meals that show of your love of food. In exchange, a volunteer receives free breakfast, dinner and accommodation in a shared dorm in our hostel.
The hostel is in the heart of Tirana and provides a wonderful base for exploring Albania.

Program Details

Volunteers are given a bed in a dorm with other volunteers in exchange for an average of 25 hours per week of volunteers activities, as listed below. Volunteers are also given breakfast and dinner provided by the hostel.


Activities & Shift

We are looking for a responsible, self-starting volunteer cook who will be given a budget with which to purchase groceries and prepare a dinner for the other volunteers and guests. In the low season the cook will be preparing food for between 5-14 people, while in the high season they will be preparing food for no more than 30 people.
The cook will also be responsible for cleaning up the kitchen after the dinner shift.


Rules

As a vegetarian hostel, volunteers are not allowed to bring in meat into the hostel.
Volunteers are expected to live respectfully with other volunteers and guests of the hostel.
