As my first volunteering experience at the home Childcare in Chamazi, Tanzania, I can honestly say it was exactly what I expected — nothing more, nothing less. If someone asked me whether I would do it again - my answer would be 100% yes. From the first day, Elina, Joseph, Jovin, and other locals made us feel welcome and appreciated. They helped us with everything we needed, introduced us to local food, and genuinely took care of us :). Working with the children was worth every bit of tiredness — they were adorable, full of energy, and always eager to learn something new.

Volunteering at the home Childcare in Tanzania was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, Elina, Jovin, and Joseph welcomed me with warmth and made me feel like family. The children stole my heart with their smiles, curiosity, and love for learning—it was a joy to teach and play with them each day. I loved immersing myself in the culture, learning Swahili, and sharing daily life with the community. Saying goodbye was so hard, but I left with a heart full of gratitude. I truly recommend this project to anyone—you will give a lot, but you'll receive more!

I had such an amazing time volunteering here. I made some incredible memories with the children and am already missing them so much. Volunteering in Africa had been something I'd thought about doing for years and I'm so glad to have had this wonderful opportunity. Adjusting to the culture shock was definitely eye opening and taught me lots but the hosts were so welcoming and kind and i loved meeting the other volunteers from different parts of the world.

Our experience with the host family (Elina, Jovin, and Joseph) was wonderful and beyond all expectations. They welcomed us with great warmth and respect, making us feel like part of their home from the very first day. During our volunteer work with the children, we received constant support from the family. They helped us understand the local culture, learn a few words in the local language, and integrate into the community. It was a deep and meaningful experience that left our heart full of gratitude. We recommended this family to anyone. You will give a lot but will receive even more!

The house was simple but very clean and safe, and the peaceful atmosphere allowed us to live the experience in a context where you give a lot but receive even more.

Chamazi has my heart! The hosts were lovely and helpful, the kids eager to learn, the locals so accommodating. I enjoyed every moment teaching the kids I wish I had more time. Elina and Joseph gave me such a welcome stay and their passion for their community's growth is commendable.

This experience was unbelievable. You get to live in a community so different in every aspect from what you are used to, which is extremely precious. You can contribute playing with and (trying) to teach the kids, and your money actually helps Jovin and Lina with their projects - and maintaining themselves. I found the area extremely safe too. The accomodation is decent and food quantitatively enough to survive, but be mindful before getting there that it's not a 5 stars resort.

My experience volunteering with Ayodo was such an incredible experience! First of all, the children are full of energy and curiosity, and it's wonderful to see how they grow and thrive with the support they receive. The volunteers and staff are dedicated and passionate, creating a warm and very welcoming environment. Their hard work and commitment make a significant difference in the lives of these children. It is inspiring to work alongside such motivated people who genuinely care about the community. I am grateful to contribute and learn from these amazing people and children!!! :)

My time with Joseph and Jovin was an experience I would never forget. Spending 2 1/2 weeks in Tanzania on my first WP experience was one of the best experiences in my life and it was a home away from home. The children are so loving and it was amazing to teach them, they are so enthusiastic to learn and I am going to miss them- I didn't want to leave. Immersing into the culture was an experience and learning the traditions too. I highly recommend this project to everyone! Although I didn't get to meet Elina, she is a communicative host and an amazing person! I wish I stayed for longer!

This experience was incredibly great! The children were all really sweet and grateful. The hosts (josef and jovin) were amazing! Josef was always in a good mood, always drove us everywhere and cooked very well. The two of them also helped us organize activities in our free time. I had a lot of fun and luck with the other volunteers!! I definitely recommend it!
