Raymond and Illaria are very nice people and very welcoming. Even though I was not able to stay as long as I planned due to personal matters I had a wonderful experience in regards to being in contact with nature, meeting nice people and helping as much as I could. The Vila is beautiful, located at an amazing hilltop which makes you understand the true meaning of Tuscany. As I said, I wish I've could stayed longer and I definitely wish to come back sometime in the future.

My experience was truly exceptional. Raymond and Ilaria are remarkable hosts, always welcoming and incredibly accommodating. Our private room offered the highest level of comfort possible, and the meals were a true delight (I must confess, I gained a few pounds here). Furthermore, Raymond always values our input and is open to suggestions. Working hours are treated with the utmost respect. I couldn't have asked for a better stay

The work is clear and well explained, the hours are flexible as long as you work according to your agreed schedule, the rooms are comfortable and the meals are incredible!! 🤌 It was unforgettable weeks. Reymond and Ilaria welcomed us with joy and warmth. Thank you for the welcome and learning. It was a pleasure to be part of this project.

My time at Podere Sasso was really good, the place is immersed in the nature, and the property is really cool, built in 1350's,, it was gratifying to help to renovate some of it! Raymond is a good host, very calm and patient to explain everything we should do, and also very flexible with the working hours. The food was probably the highlight, Raymond's wife, Ilaria, cooks delicious meals that looks more like a feast for everyone!! I definitely recommend this place!

Volunteering here was an unforgettable experience. Despite it being my first worldpackers volunteering, Raymond and Ilaria ensured that every moment was enriching. Their warmth made me feel instantly at ease, fostering a sense of belonging that resonated throughout my stay. Ilaria's culinary prowess added an extra layer of delight to the experience, making each meal a celebration of Italian flavors and hospitality. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone seeking not just to lend a hand but to find a second home amidst Tuscany. Grazie mille!

I had a pleasent time at Podere Sasso. The working hours were treated with respect, the food and accomodation were great, and both Ilaria and Raymond were friendly, as well as the others. The villa is amazing, plenty of places to explore, some of the best view I've ever seen. If you enjoy chilling and reading, this is definetly the place for you. However, this was my first WP experience, and there were times when I was a little confused and felt like I needed better explanation on how things work around there. Work was also pretty tiring for me. Bring a book if you come alone! Cheers!

Overall, my husband & I enjoyed our time with Raymond/Ilaria. I think it's important to state that the work is demanding & requires heavy lifting or some "dirty work", come prepared. It took a few days to get comfortable in the place, but once I was doing something I knew I could do, I felt better about the experience. To note - the closest cafe is a 20 min walk through the wooded trail (beautiful walk). The closest grocery is 40 mins. We didn't have a car and relied on Raymond to go to town for us to join him (only happened a few times). I recommend a car. The other workers were great too.

The beautiful Podere Sasso was built in 1354 with several iterations of restoration and/or updating over many years. With that, it was a great place to learn or improve multiple skill sets as there is always work to be done. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience, but unfortunately did not get to see many projects completed in the end. Focusing on long-term care projects to benefit the future of the property would have been so rewarding.
