The experience

Volunteers will play an important role in helping our local Thai community gain confidence in spoken English, which opens doors for better education, job opportunities, and cultural understanding. By simply sharing conversations, games, and everyday activities, you help create a more connected and sustainable world through language and cultural exchange.

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Typical tasks include:

1.Leading fun English conversations with children, teens, and adults

2.Encouraging listening and speaking through games, role play, and everyday topics
3.Gently correcting vocabulary and grammar during natural conversations

4.Sharing your culture, stories, and ideas to broaden perspectives

We are not a formal school, so there are no strict lessons or heavy preparation.
Think of yourself as a language buddy and cultural friend, not a classroom teacher.

Schedule & expectations:

Around 4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week

Most activities happen in the afternoon and evening (around 3 PM – 10 PM)
A maximum of about six short sessions (40 minutes each) depending on student bookings

Sundays are free for exploring Chiang Mai, trekking, or relaxing at home

During free time, volunteers can enjoy local markets, elephant camps, swimming pools, trekking paths, or Thai cooking lessons. We provide air-conditioned rooms (separate male/female) or a private fan room for couples, plus Wi-Fi so digital nomads can keep up with remote work.

Important information:

All you need is a tourist visa to join us.

No teaching certificate required—just fluent English (native or non-native), creativity, and positivity.

200 Thai Baht (THB) is approximately equal to 5 Euros (EUR) and 5.60 US Dollars (USD)

"We require a deposit for cleaning fee of 200 THB. You are welcome to pay in your own currency, and we will refund the deposit in the same currency you use for payment."
