It was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't ask for more! Dee and Mark are a wonderful couple, they were from the beginning very friendly, welcoming and easy-going. Mark fed us well and taught us new skills and Dee was very sweet and thoughtful. During the stay we visited really interesting places, relaxed and worked the right amount, also I had a great opportunity to practice my English and a little of French. They really put effort in hosting and I really felt at home.

This was a wonderful first Worldpackers experience! Mark and Dee were lovely. We worked on the house during the mornings and they tried to have a fun activity planned for every afternoon. Dee is one of the sweetest people ever and Mark is a man of many skills. I got to meet many of their friends and visit a lot of the local landmarks. Overall, an amazing experience.

I had a gorgeous two weeks in the Morvan with Mark and Dee and my fellow volunteers. The work is nicely paced and well-balanced with the many adventures the hosts take great effort to involve their volunteers in on a daily basis. We had constant variety in activities, as well as plenty of time to soak in the beauty of the natural landscape. It was such a special treat to get the chance to experience all the little treasures of the area that Mark and Dee have spent over a decade uncovering. I hope to be back again soon <3

It was a very special experience to volunteer at Stone Mason to me. Mark's family are the sweetest, Mark is a laid back person, they will try to provide everything you need. The work I do every day was not that hard. I guarantee they will make you feel right at home. They try to take you to many places to make the experience more enjoyable, and I never thought that I would learn so much from this experience. They also have lots of different activities to do in the afternoon. Mark cooked amazing food every day and everything was FANTASTIC! Thank you, Marky & the fams! Your Indo mate, Hans

A great first Worldpackers experience! Mark and Dee were so nice and welcoming. The food was great and they always made sure to make a non-meat version for me. The work was also very fun - mostly painting, but I also learned some new skills, which I'm excited to use someday. I loved staying with them for two weeks, strongly recommend it!!

I had a great time working with mark and Dee! The work was engaging and really helped me learn and improve skills. We were served 3 fantastic meals a day and I really enjoyed all sitting down together with the other volunteers to eat and share stories. When we weren't working we got taken out to experience wonderful parts of the countryside to get a good taste of French culture and history. We met some amazing characters and saw some beautiful sights. The experience was great for disconnecting from city life and living an authentic and fulfilling country life. I had a wonderful time.

Mark and Dee made sure that my sister and I had a comfortable stay at their home and they fed us well! They also took us to many local attractions and introduced us to their interesting friends. We got to learn about the history of the region, stone carving, archery, technical skills, and even try on medieval armor. I felt like it was a good balance of work and fun. We mostly worked on wallpapering, plastering walls, and painting/sanding stuff. Our interactions felt family-like which was nice. They took us to art-related activities after finding out about our interests. Thank you :)
