I felt offended by the host after having broken a rule I didn't know existed and wasn't written anywhere. He wasn't at the camp atm, he called me, yelled at me, said things were not true and asked me to leave. I was shocked. In my free time, a friend picked me up in a vehicle (8pm) to go to dinner at the hotel where he was staying. He just come outside the entrance. But they said I had brought a stranger to the camp, that he had argued with the manager and other lies. I felt treated like a ciminal, like a dad was punishing a teenager for going out. Regardless of his reasons, those are not ways

Vanessa challenged our rules and regulations them from the time she arrived. She argued about wanting to go on safari on her first day of work (we offer it after 7 days), invited an outsider into camp without approval and disturbing our customers whom we had to compensate for their spoilt dinner experience, then left the camp with him after dark, endangering her own life traveling through the jungle at night with dangerous animals around against our advice and only wanted to argue about us ‘stopping her from going’. Therefore, we discontinued her volunteering, as she refused to comply with our house and safety rules

I had a nice experience at the glamping, I'd met new species everyday, the tent was pretty cozy and comfortable, just if you are scared of tiny insects or any kind of animal, don't go there. I felt a little bit lonely, I was the only volunteer there, but overall was a really cozy and relaxing place to work. The owner and the manager are very flexible. Staff so kind, they didn't had faced any issue into communicating with me as deaf person (so I'd recommend this experience to my fellow deafies).

Sim you were a good volunteer and a nice person thank you for doing our camp map.. Yes as you say this is a jungle camping site and it's for Adult individuals and not for group volunteers. And if you are not independent it could be the wrong place

Its a truly unique experience in the wildlife. The staff were all very lovely and had so much knowledge about the nature and animals. I was able to go on two the camping during my stay which was amazing. As the property is pretty isolated it is nice to have other volunteers there as well. If you have a passion or project it is good to plan this before hand and spend your time working on this project while your there as it took some days to get settled in and have daily tasks. Overall a very unique experience!

First, I babysitted in their beautiful villa for 1 week. Cecile and Noel were really welcoming and made me feel at home. Eli is the cutest little boy and babysitting him wasn't too challenging. I had a lot of free time to chill in the pool or explore the city. In the camp, the work was pretty chill, too, as they want you to feel comfortable and to enjoy your stay. First the tasks were a bit unstructured and there wasn't a lot to do, but after discussing it with the manager, we got better structured tasks. Be aware of the spiders and snakes though! Thank you Noel & Cecile for welcoming me!

I had an amazing start in the experience thanks to Noel, the owner of the camp ; I was so lucky to go on several the camping for a reduced price and shared very nice food with the staff. There was absolutely no pressure to complete my tasks quickly, I appreciated the trust. Unfortunately there were no customers half of the time and I felt isolated. The camp is located in the nature, near the entrance of the parc, I felt like I couldn't go out + it was not allowed to speak with the staff more than 30 minutes. I recommend this experience to couples - or make sure you go with another volunteer.

The task were discussed and if you had stayed your full time at camp uou would have heard more.. also some people take our kindness as a weakness. That's the sad thing about being hospitable... Their is a reason for volunteers to Finnish their meals and leave staff area as we had issues with volunteers before.. so it's to prevent any more issues that we don't need. So everyone has to respect 🙏

I had great time but was different from what I expected: I wasn't given a working time or precise instruction on what to do. You are in the middle of the jungle, with a lot of animals and at the beginning it was a bit scary but everyone is very kind and walk you to the tent if you need. Even with a lot of free time there isn't much to do in the surrounding area, you stay most of the time inside the camp and can use the pool. I got on very well with the staff, they were welcoming and always make sure that everything always went well for me.

Hi Elisa in most places I am sure volunteers are over worked and I am sure you can enjoy more free time in the Nature

Honestly, my experience at camp was different than I thought. I will never forget sleeping in the middle of the jungle and close to the animals. The work is not hard, but the conditions make it exhausting. I had never sweated so much in my life. I have great memories, especially thanks to my 3 fellow volunteers. the place is really beautiful. But I have to make some constructive criticism: the food they give you is that of the staff or also what is left over for the guests at each meal. always rice and very spicy, and sleeping in the tents, with the heat it was unbearable.

This is a safari camp in the jungle and volunteers are given a African Bush tent with a fan and its not every once cup of tea, also this is not a place to party and make noice, yes Maria and few others disturbed our paying guest and a lady demanded a refund as she was disturbed by volunteers noice

Overall I had a very enjoyable week at the camping Safari. The place is beautiful and so peaceful with lots of downtime to enjoy the nature. I helped with mainly housekeeping in the mornings - the work wasn't too hard and tended to not take too long. The timings they gave for starting/finishing work wasn't always accurate and found myself waiting around a lot however it didn't bother me too much and could always chat with the staff while you were waiting. The meals for staff are very basic and can get very repetitive having rice for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday. The tent was comfy.

This was my first worldpackers experience and i couldnt be more happy with it. Noel is really knowledgable about elephants and leopards. The food was only sri lankan food wich was a bit too spicy for me at time. I did some housekeeping and crafts. wish i could have worked a bit more but noel was not there during half of my stay & i think his employees didnt really know what job to give me. Had some fun at the pool during the hot time of the day. There wasnt any volunteer during my stay so it was kind of lonely at times. Overall i would recommend if you love nature and need time away from city

Tanya thank you for your contribution at our camp.
Volunteering can be some times alone and it's up to you to interact with our staff who always treats Volunteers as guest.

I spent 2 weeks at the camp, such a good experience! Nice staff to work with, really friendly. Noel is a super host, a really interesting guy with plenty of crazy stories to tell you. The tents where the volunteers stay are not too bad, private abilities, comfy bed, if you like camping you'll like the vibe ! On your free time you can go to the town which is 4km away from the camp, or just simply relax at the camping pool. About the food, it's quite repetitive, rice n curry most of the time but that makes you try local foods I recommend this experience Good opportunities to go on safari !
