My experience at Gaarawé was truly unique. Even though I was the only volunteer during my two-week stay, I learned so much about sustainability and permaculture. Lele is very knowledgeable and always willing to share his wisdom and life experience. The work at the villa is relaxed and enjoyable, and there's plenty of freedom to explore the area in your free time (you can rent motorbikes at the guesthouse next door). It was a beautiful and enriching experience in a magical place—perfect for learning and disconnecting from the routine and chaos of the city. I totally recommend it!

The eco village was amazing! Lele is great, he can teach you about permaculture and how to live more sustainable. The work was really nice and chill. I mainly helped with the cob house and gardening, which was a lot of fun! The village is in the jungle, which i thought was really cool! You're truly in nature. This means that there is not much close by, but you can ask Lele about activities, rent a scooter next door, or hitch hike. The thai family was also so nice!! The food is amazing and they will help you with anything. I miss it already! Thanks Lele for everything!! 🫶🏼

We just did a 3 days stay in which we had the opportunity to meet some volunteers and Lele who was very welcoming. He has very strong sustainable ideas and his philosophy is very contagious. We just had time to see the project which is beautiful. Is also amazing to rent a motorbike to visit Khao Sok and the surroundings

I'm very grateful for my time at Garawee Village and for all the experiences I was able to have there. Even though I left earlier than planned, I would still recommend it to anyone who wants to discover a new lifestyle and is open to new things. Lele is an incredibly kind person, and you can really tell how much he loves his project – it's wonderful to see! So if you're okay with being around all kinds of animals, go for it – you won't regret it! Thank you for the time.

I liked my time there) Absolutely unique experience. Perfect place if you want to feel how life in a jungle looks like (first two - tree days are very unusual, you need to take a bit time to get use to life with huge amount of different creatures around you, but after you start to enjoy more). Good time to take rest, enjoy home made Thai food, learn a bit about eco life style. Be ready this place will put you out of your comfort zone, make you think and act outside of the box. If you feel that nature is calling you, recommend you to try! it is gonna worth it.

I had to cut my stay short unfortunately but during my time I met other travellers with like minded journeys with trying to help out and learn more about living in a different lifestyle

Really nice time in the eco village. The place is really great, surrounded by nature. You have your own privacy and the social part with the other travelers is nice too. The mix is great. We can feel how Lele the owner care about the place and the life he created. Great place to escape the crowd of south Thailand !!

After 5 weeks of immersing myself in the eco village my heart feels full from the love and special memories I've made here, and heartbroken it's over and I've left behind family. This is more of an experimental village that invites you to think for yourself, come with an open mind, and communicate with the community upon work. If you're just looking for a cheap place to stay and explore the surrounding areas this is not for you - Lele is extremely selfless, caring & interesting- and the Thai staff (our thai family ) are the most lovely, hardworking and protective people. Miss you all already

We did volunteering at Garawee Village, a perfect eco-village isolated in the center of nature. There were two parts: gardening and building houses with bamboo and clay bricks. It was a very enriching social experience, perfect if your goal is to meet people from all over the world. The work is not very skill-developing, but it is easy to do, and enjoying teamwork is very important. The food is very good, and Lele, the host, is lovely. We definitely recommend it!

I stayed here one month and it was amazing, and it will be the same for you if you want to meet people from all over the world, experience authentic rural Thailand, connect with locals, and learn about permaculture and its principles.
