Program Details
Most of my students don't have enough chances to communicate in their school and it is rare to meet English speakers in their class. For this reason, every day I held English private lessons for children and teenagers of the surrounding area together with a group of teachers to help me.
I would gladly welcome any volunteer who is fluent in English and is willing to teach the language to the children. We are looking for someone that loves children and is comfortable playing with them.
Activities & Shift
Volunteering as a teacher at my school or my home means helping the students to practice their English by motivating and training them to speak English.
In exchange for your volunteering, I will organize educational trips for you to visit different parts of my village, so you can see how we live and experience the local culture and hospitality, like seeing coffee and tobacco plantations, traditional dance, and local food.
Rules
There is around 18h of work per week with 5 working days and 2 days off. The working schedule is quite flexible and flowy, so some days you would work less and some days a bit more :)
When living with us, we would greatly appreciate if you could clean up after yourself as any member of the family would. This might mean helping to sweep, mop, or wash the dishes.
