Absolutely loved my time at Imaginary Hostel! We appliedto the hostel, but volunteered at Imaginary - which suited us perfectly. The location is close to supermarkets and in the heart of the old town. Our volunteer dorm was cozy, and we had a lot of fun chats and dinners with other volunteers. The shifts are long (8h), but the work is not hard - cleaning bathrooms, rooms, common spaces, and there is plenty of time for breaks and things in between work. The schedule is flexible - Polina is always happy to organise days off to suit your travel plans so we were able to see a lot of Estonia!

Travelling as a duo, my sister and I originally signed up for the hostel, but were offered a place at Imaginary Hostel instead as the hostel had no availability. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Imaginary, the shifts were only cleaning shifts, working for 3 days with 4 days off. There is plenty of opportunity to explore the country, which I really recommend. Estonia is stunning! Most importantly, the staff, other volunteers and the unique groups of guests really made the experience worth it. I will really miss the Imaginary family and I hope to be able to visit again. Aitah!

My experience in this hostel was just amazing! I met very nice people (volunteers and guests) and the hostel itself was comfortable. I would 100% recommend going either as a solo or with other people.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't be happier. The place is very nice and in a really good location at the center of the Old Town but what I really liked the most are the people from there. All the workers, volunteers and guests were really nice to me and they made me feel very well and comfortable in every moment. Also Jordy was very friendly and close and he respects the working hours. They have a flexible schedule so it is very easy to make plans and travel around Estonia. After this experience I'm sure that I'll come back again.

I spent 8 months there, and it truly became home. I arrived without knowing what to expect and left with tears in my eyes. If you're thinking about volunteering, don't hesitate. The tasks are fun and easy, there's plenty of free time, and Estonia is such a beautiful and underrated country. You'll meet people from all over the world and create unforgettable memories. Also I wanted to thank to our mom Fausta and Jordy for teaching me since the beginning, and to Baran, Roland, Günel, Ben, Karina, Elisavet, Xabi, Marco, Ranin, Joana and the most special one, Rita. You'll always be in my heart🖤

This Is how volunteering should be! Felt welcomed and respected from the first time, the amount of work was reasonable and there's always some body to ask if you need help, both the managers and other fellow volunteers where great. I'm definetly looking forward to volunteer here again!

Second time at Monks the hostel. It was lovely and amazing, the work is 3 days per week wich is perfect to enjoy Tallinn and to travel in other cities/countries as well. The food, once again, plenty. They provide per week food (wich we make the list), plus money for everyday's dinner. The events are fun and doesnt seem like an actually work time. I had an incredible time, met amazing people from all over the world, I respect and Im thankful to everyone. Already planning my next time there.
