The experience

Program Details

We are a brazilian family of mom, dad, two kids, two grandmothers, great grandad and we welcome volunteers to help us with the work and maitanance of the farm. We all live here, plus João and Desiree (me) rent ecologic cabins for the weekends, so we work with hospitality services here as well. We inspire ourselfs on permaculture methods and have built sustainable systems. Our project still needs time and all the help we can get.

There is a special place for us to receive volunteers, as well family and friends, that is the shed behind the main house. Its a shared space for sleeping and eating, with a little kitchen and refrigerator. We like to have the main meals together, where everyone helps to prepare and clean afterwards, but we leave it open for whoever wants to prepare their meals independently, as free choice!

In times of more than 3 volunteers, we ask you to bring your own sleeping bag, and if you have a tent and would like to spend more than a week with us, please bring it with you! This is not obligatory, but it will help us a lot during your stay.

We will spend time together, exchange knowledge and experiences! We hope you come with joy and disposition!
Everyone are welcome here!

We commonly pick volunteers up from the bus station, that can be from the cities of Gramado, Três Coroas or Igrejinha.
All the arrangements, like time and dates can be set up by private messagens (whatsapp) after the volunteer confirm the arrival.

We hope to hear from you soon! :)

Big hug from our family,
Desiree e João.
