I recommend the hostel for many reasons! Friendly welcoming staff, a nice place to stay, and 10 minutes from the beach. I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world on shift and then running down to the ocean to surf with free great equipment and lessons. The work was easy, well explained and I always felt comfortable asking questions. Awesome experience!!

Beautiful hostel, beautiful place and beautiful people, it was my first experience as a volunteer in a hostel and I couldn't ask for anything better. They always made me feel welcome; I will most likely return. I recommend it to all travellers☀️

Spent the last five five days before my departure crying, and ended up extending for another month. I guess this says enough about how amazing this place is :) people, lifestyle, experiences, everythinggg🫶🏻 First volunteering experience ever and I couldn't ask for anything better. Eternally grateful🔆

Chiara stay was amazing, she ended up extending her stay for one more month.
She's super social, responsible and proactive, learned everything super quickly and did well.
She became friends with everyone that pass through the hostel.
Overall she was a great addiction to the team and we definitely recommend her for any world packer experience!

I had an amazing experience at the surf hostel and would highly recommend to any travellers, the atmosphere is magical and the location is perfect. The team are super supportive and welcoming I had an incredible time:)

Greta is a really fun girl, she worked really well and became friends with everyone.
Her stay was really good, the only thing that I can say is that computers are her worst enemy XD but she still learned well what she had to do and it wasn't a problem at all.
We definitely recommend her to more worldpackers experiences!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! The atmosphere is super friendly, filled with the loveliest and most kind-hearted people. The work is relaxed, with working hours and day-off requests always respected, giving you plenty of free time to explore Portugal, learn to surf, and have fun! The managers, Bia, Nuno, and Rodrigo, are incredibly supportive and always there when you need them, making sure you're comfortable throughout your stay!🌼💖 I'm truly grateful for the wonderful people I've met and the overall experience, and I can't wait to be back one day.

Nora is amazing, super kind to others, simply a great person.
Her stay was amazing, she extended her stay for almost 2 more months and never ever cause any issue, she works really well, super proactive, fast and responsible.
We just wished that she stayed longer.
She will be a great addiction anywhere.

Alex is a great guy, super intelligent, learned everything super quickly and well.
Really social guy got along with everyone, his stay with us was great and we definitely recommend him to more volunteer experiences in worldpackers.

I had a great time at the hostel! The managers are super friendly, there is a great vibe within the team and the work and hours are fair. You have enough free time to explore the surroundings and travel within Portugal, and you can indicate your preferred shifts and days off. Even when my travel plans changed the management was super friendly and understanding. Even tho I wasn't here for a long time, I enjoyed it a lot!

Manon stay with us wasn't long, Manon stayed at another hostel previously and the experience was so great that she miss it to much.
She approached us and talked about what she was feeling and of course we supported her choice of going back.
Through the time she stayed the experience went really well and hopefully we'll meet again in the future.

The most amazing place in the world, on day 1 already feels like home. Rodrigo, Nuno and everyone working in the hostel is super understanding and respectful, give you enough time to rest and have fun. This place is magnet for great people - volunteers and guests, everyone is welcoming and full of love. Its a great place for first time volunteering, so don't doubt- go ahead, you won't regret it. Can't wait to be back one day. Its really home away from home.

LSH is a perfect place to volunteer at! Everyone was super welcoming and you quickly feel as a part of a big fam cause the hostel has more of a shared house feel. The shifts were chill and you get to have 3 days off per week according to your preference. I loved my stay!🏄🏻‍♀️🫶🏼
