This was my first homestay/worldpackers experience and I wouldn't change a thing. Yoko and Oharu made me feel very welcomed, their children were a treasure to be around and my work expectations were clearly explained. I had access to a bicycle and was even invited to family outings and a friend's event where I got to experience traditional mochi throwing. I highly recommend this stay if you want to be in nature, enjoy gardening, enjoy children and looking to immerse yourself in Japanese culture.

I had a super nice experience here. The family is adorable, their food is delicious and the room I stayed was so cute. I loved the work here, i could learn things i've never done before like planting mushrooms. I gardened a lot, which i loved, and went to the bamboo forest many times to collect young bamboo. This was a perfect way to end my trip in Japan, i really loved it. Thanks again 🙏

We enjoyed our Experience with Yoko-san, Oharu-san and the children. If you want to experience rural life in Japan, I can recommend this place. We learned new tasks like mushroom planting or bamboo harvesting, which is very interesting! They made us feel welcome, showed us their way of living and made sure we have enough free time to explore the surroundings. Thank You!

The most welcoming and kind family. With this i spent time in nature surrounded by forest and lived fully immersed in Japanese culture, eating with the family and experiencing things like making miso from scratch. Yoko-san taught me so much about Japan and looking after the forest. One of the best experiences I've ever had and highly recommend. Being able to spend time with their super cute kids was also so much fun.

My first experience with worldpackers couldn't be better. The host was very flexible and kind. Be prepared to live in a traditional Japanese house outside of major urban centers, get in touch with nature and play with 3 cute children.

Fue nuestra primera experiencia como voluntarios y no puede haber sido mejor. Estamos agradecidos con Yoko - San y su familia por habernos recibido con tanta amabilidad y confianza. Las varias tareas que hicimos fueron agradables y muy interesantes de realizar, Yoko-San siempre estuvo bien predispuesta para indicarnos o darnos una mano con lo que necesitáramos. La comida que preparaban era excelente y fue una hermosa experiencia haber compartido tantos momentos con ellos. Nos llevamos buenos recuerdos jugando con los niños! Gracias por todo a Yoko-San y su familia!
