Amazing project, Juan and his mother are truly wonderful and caring humans! It felt like a home stay as well as volunteer project, with delicious homecooked meals and learning lots about the local community. The work they do is so impactful and well rounded, and you can really feel like you are making a difference in a short time. I was able to do multiple different tasks (gardening, building, teaching kids) with flexibility around my hours. I also had my own hut to stay in, with private bathroom and hot shower! I would recommend this project to everyone!

Our time at the lodge was truly unforgettable. Juan is a kind and dedicated host, clearly passionate about what he does. He was always eager to share his knowledge and got us involved in a range of meaningful projects, including painting, planting, teaching English, and building. We felt the real impact of our work and built genuine connections along the way. From the moment we arrived his entire family welcomed us and made us feel completely at home. The meals were delicious, and the accommodation was cosy and comfortable. We wholeheartedly recommend this Worldpackers experience!

Our time at the eco farm was amazing. Juan is an incredible host who goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time. He is so helpful, kind and caring. He makes a real effort to give volunteers the best possible experience. The work on the farm is fun, impactful and communicated clearly. You get to have a true Guatemalan experience and give back to the community. The meals provided are wholesome and delicious. The cabins are comfortable and clean. Juan also organises fun activities for volunteers and is willing to help with anything needed. Such a great experience!

I highly recommend this experience. I felt that I was truly helping a wonderful cause. We are in the middle of a typical village in Guatemala, a complete immersion in the culture of this country. The camp is nice, quite comfortable, and the food is excellent.

Such a fun experience, I couldn't recommend more! The farm work was fun, easy to do and really interesting to learn about. Met the most amazing group of girls there, we had bonfires and went into the city with Juan. Juan and his family are so nice and welcoming, especially his mum who is also an amazing cook!

This was an amazing experience! It was my friend and I's first time using Worldpackers, and we were a little nervous about the lack of reviews, but as it turned out, we had nothing to be worried about. JD was a great host, the meals were wonderful (as was the woman who cooked them), accommodations were great, the work was fun and incredibly impactful. We met so many good people, and it was one of the most meaningful and special experiences of my life.

The tasks were quite fun. I mostly did painting, planting crops and creating bricks. You usually work around 3-5 hours per day. Accommodation was modern and clean and most volunteers even got their own rooms and bathroom. The provided meals were freshly cooked and delicious! You work and sleep on the farm which is around 10-12 minutes walk from the office where you will get all 3 meals. I can really recommend coming here. The tasks were fun, but most fun was that you met so many other volunteers (we were 5). By day we worked with loads of fun and in the evenings we made bonfires.

The stay was very nice. We enjoyed the tasty food and the people were helpful and kind. The rooms are cozy and clean. We were working in gardening, painted a house and made bricks and panels which are used to build houses. During our stay we had a homevisit at a family which is supported by the project and we spent fun nights in Antigua and at the bonfire. Overall a very nice experience. Gracias!
