I had a great experience at Elbēn! <3 Both the people at work and the friends you find living in the WG are both friendly and welcoming. Münster in general is a very young and international city so it was easy to get in touch with new people overall. Wonderful chance to learn more about different cultures - not just the german one. The city felt safe and had a lot of cool stuff going on. The work was fun and the working hours were respected. A bit stressful sometimes but still manageable. Really sweet colleagues. Forever grateful for this experience and I hope to be back soon again !!

Volunteering at elbēn was an enriching experience that allowed me to immerse myself in both German and Syrian cultures. The unique blend of traditions, people, and flavors makes it a truly special place. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about new cultures while gaining practical skills. It's helpful to have some experience in the kitchen or at least be comfortable working quickly and efficiently. Overall, I had an amazing time, and I'm very grateful for everything I learned and the wonderful people I met along the way. Highly recommended!

The experience I had with the project was wonderful. The city is stunning, the room is shared with three other people but is spacious and pleasant, in an excellent location close to the center, with the bikes provided by the host you can see everything in the city. The work is stressful sometimes, but the hours are few each day, so you don't get exhausted and have time and energy to enjoy the city, which is calm, quiet, green and beautiful. Excellent for learning languages and getting to know new cultures and people.

I had an amazing experience at Elbēn... The city is absolutely beautiful and safe, so you can walk around late without a problem, and since the are mostly students there is really fun... The WG was well located near the downtown and you get to talk to a lot of really nice people there. You share room with 2 or 3 people, and despite at the beginning of my stay there was an issue with bets, all was solved really fast... The work at the restaurant is good and you get to meet wonderful coworkers there from all over the world. It was a really good experience.

It was a great experience, I worked with people from different cultures and countries who were very nice and friendly. The working time is very fair, the accommodation is great and the city is very cool and beautiful. Having a bike to explore the city was great too, not everyone there speaks English, so it can be a challenge at first, but it's a good way to develop another language, in this case German. Oh yeah, great food, without a doubt, I'll be back in the near future. :)

I really love the project and all his team, the volunteering is very nice, everyone is very friendly, the work can sometimes be tiring but the time passes quickly, the city is very beautiful and safe, everyone is very friendly, those who don't know a lot of English always try to find a way to communicate, Google translator was my best friend. The apartment is very well located and comfortable. I don't know what else to say, I would love to come back, I love volunteering in Ēlben 🫶🏻

My time at elbēn was great! I found a lot of friends at work as well as in the WG, learned new games of which my favorite one was Trix (if you come to Münster you should try to learn it). I think it was easier for me to imerse myself into the WG-life since there was no language barrier but even if you do not speak German there shouldnt be a big issue. The volunteering was fair, sometimes it was stressful and more work than in other Jobs I have done, but generaly it was doable and fun. I can recommend this volunteering and I am definetly coming back to visit my newfound friends!❤️

Positive Points - Great location (neighborhood, city, and apartment).Amazingcity - Flexibility with work/rest days. - Connection with people from different cultures. Negative Points - One person gave me significantly more tasks, which made me tired. The person in charge listened but didn't make me feel welcomed, which was disappointing after having worked well with around 6 other people. - Initially, I found the lack of a washing machine and bicycles strange, but it was resolved. - If your arrival day is "free", it's counted as time off later, which was different from my previous experiences.

The project is a nice project where I was able to get to know about German and Arabic culture, meet nice people and explore Germany, Münster is a wonderful city, work was difficult at the beginning because of the language but I could overcame it all and be a productive volunteer, Paula who is responsible about volunteers is such a lovely person, so warm and kind, also Jenny and Harun in the Wege are nice people we spent good times together, if u wanna apply just keep in mind you have to be respectful and responsible at work and keep clean and organized your space and being open to meet new people.

The apartment is comfortable and I had a great time sharing a room (which is spacious and nice) with the other volunteers. the people from the project who live here are nice and always ready to listen. I didn't get to meet Nedal, but he helped me and the other volunteers sort out some problems, and made sure he listened to everybody. about work, some people who work at the restaurant don't speak english, so communication wasn't the best and generated some issues between us. I think volunteers should work with people they can communicate with, as that would make it easier for everybody
