I had a good time with Borja and Julia at their remote property. If you enjoy being in nature, staring at the mountains, listen to the river flow, hike and just be into the wild, then this place will bring you a lot of joy. The tasks were not very difficult, and with a bit of help and guidance, everything seemed a lot easier. Unfortunately, i had a pretty serious back pain at some point and couldn't stay any longer, but Borja was very understanding of the situation. Didn't have the opportunity to meet the newborn, but maybe another time. Thank you Borja and Julia for the experience!

I felt truly welcomed at Borja and Julia's place. The guest room was clean and comfortable. I really appreciated having designated working hours and Borja clearly delegated tasks each morning. The work was not difficult as it mostly consisted of cooking, cleaning, and general house upkeep. The nearby river is beautiful and there's plenty of walking paths around the house. However, it is pretty remote so it's not realistic to travel/explore on days off. The baby can be loud and needy which can create a stressful environment if you're not accustomed to young children. Overall, good experience!

Borja and Julia were super welcoming from the moment they picked me up. Super accommodating with a nice room to stay in. I helped with planting oak trees with locals from Spain and helped Borja make Paella. The animals are also super cute! The tasks are more then manageable. Including cleaning the fire place, cleaning, cooking and helping out where needed. We also made a trip to Borja and Julias friends house. We had lunch and walked to a beautiful lake. It was nice to get out and experience that. You are surrounded by nature, so make sure to bring something to do during down time!

I had an amazing time with Borja and his family! They are very welcoming, happy and friendly. The village is super cute and in the middle of the mountains/forest. The work was absolutely managable. Some tasks inside the house and also outside. It was a great experience!

I was so happy to visit Borja and his Family in Mas De Madalena! I had an amazing time, learned a lot about the oak trees and their project and could enhance my creativity. I'd love to come back any time and can recommend the stay to everyone :)

Julia and Borja made me feel welcome and home from day one. I needed my own time to get out of myself but after some time I felt like close friends and family with them ❤️ They are kind-hearted people with an open mind and are always able to share something you feel like you can learn from. I mostly enjoyed staying with their lovely daughter or the animals that run around the houses all the time. Also cooking almost every meal together and taking the time to eat outside in the sun felt amazing. My tasks were cleaning, looking for their daughter, and helping with the seeds of life project 💯

I planted over 1,000 oak tree seeds, giving back to the land I couldn't ask more, I learned a lot. Borja & Julia made me feel at home and a true part of their family. We ate amazing food, danced, and sang every day! Their positive energy and outlook on life changed me for the better. Good meditation practice will enhance your daily life. Getting in touch with my inner soul while connecting with nature was the best experience I could ever hoped for. Already planning a return too plant more seeds!!

Borja and Júlia are amazing interesting people you can learn a lot with. Their daughter is such a cute smily baby. I couldn't imagine a better first volunteer. I emidiatly felt home there, felt safe and comfortable. The tasks I would do there were mostly home shores and a little help with preparing the house and learning about planting. For me, it didn't felt like work, I enjoyed every part of it, like normal days in family. The forest, the silence, it's so peaceful. I feel so blessed and lucky to be given this oportunity 💓 highly recommend

Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora, tanto Borja como Júlia te hacen sentir como parte del lugar desde el momento en el que llegas, siempre se tuvo un trato cordial con ellos, siempre favoreciendo el respeto entre todos, y tratando de respetar los tiempos de trabajo, es cierto que es trabajo duro y arduo (por que el proyecto está en sus primeras etapas) pero la recompensa de ayudar en un proyecto así fue muy buena, y si eres una persona amante de la naturaleza se disfruta mucho del lugar, puesto que lugares así hay poco. 🫶
