Borja and julia are two lovely souls and I learned a lot from them about culture, nature and life The work made lots of fun (we where mostly cleaning the forest at this time but there is truly a looot to do) The nature in the valley is stunning and has a very healing energy so this was a perfect first worldpackers experience for me and I am verry gratefull for everything Muchas cracias :)

I volunteered here hoping for a meaningful experience, but it fell short in key areas. The organization was disorganized, with unclear tasks and little structure. Volunteers often got conflicting instructions, causing stress and confusion. Personal time wasn't respected, and we were expected to be constantly available. The owners often came across as rude, likely without realizing it. That said, I did gain valuable skills and had moments of growth through hands-on work and adapting to challenges.

We are so sorry that you haven’t found what you were expecting, but we consider that your review doesn’t make justice to our project or to us. You didn’t write ANYTHING positive about this place, not even valued its amazing natural features. I am glad that at least you had some personal achievements.
Why didn’t you speak to us about all of this? Communication is the basis of good and prosperous relationships.

The experience in the community Viejo was very beautiful and relaxing, it's true that at the moment there was a lot of work to do, because the project was in the first months of life, so you must be prepared for that, but the reward was more than worth it, the place is magical and perfect if you are looking for a simple life in a natural environment (you will live completely surrounded by gorgeous nature), and Borja and Julia were since the very beginning welcoming and warm hosts.

I had a great time with Borja and Julia. The accomodations were very nice, and we worked the agreed upon hours and the tasks were fun. I learned how to do some things like plaster, but also did things I was familiar with like working on the car. We had fun adventures, such as to the river or to their new land, with some engine difficulties in between but no problem in the end! Thanks Borja and Julia! I hope to come back to your new house next year or the following.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I absolutely do not regret my choice of going to Borja and Julia's. I was really well received and they made me feel comfortable right from the start. The two are easy to get along with and their daughter Aneka is very cute. It's a very warm place. The room is very comfortable, and the tasks are quite easy since it's mainly taking care of the house . But if there is any problem, they are here to listen and in the more difficult tasks, Borja will always be there to motivate and encourage you! The place is very calm, it's surrounded by nature .

First and foremost the family are amazing, extremely welcoming and easy to get along with. Whether it's singing along with Julia, talking about sustainability with Borja and playing with Aneka you will have a great time. I loved being outdoors and doing different things with the family whether on the land or in town. The accomodation was nice and the tasks more than manageable. Experience I will not forget.

I had a good time with Borja and Julia at their remote property. If you enjoy being in nature, staring at the mountains, listen to the river flow, hike and just be into the wild, then this place will bring you a lot of joy. The tasks were not very difficult, and with a bit of help and guidance, everything seemed a lot easier. Unfortunately, i had a pretty serious back pain at some point and couldn't stay any longer, but Borja was very understanding of the situation. Didn't have the opportunity to meet the newborn, but maybe another time. Thank you Borja and Julia for the experience!

I felt truly welcomed at Borja and Julia's place. The guest room was clean and comfortable. I really appreciated having designated working hours and Borja clearly delegated tasks each morning. The work was not difficult as it mostly consisted of cooking, cleaning, and general house upkeep. The nearby river is beautiful and there's plenty of walking paths around the house. However, it is pretty remote so it's not realistic to travel/explore on days off. The baby can be loud and needy which can create a stressful environment if you're not accustomed to young children. Overall, good experience!

Borja and Julia were super welcoming from the moment they picked me up. Super accommodating with a nice room to stay in. I helped with planting oak trees with locals from Spain and helped Borja make Paella. The animals are also super cute! The tasks are more then manageable. Including cleaning the fire place, cleaning, cooking and helping out where needed. We also made a trip to Borja and Julias friends house. We had lunch and walked to a beautiful lake. It was nice to get out and experience that. You are surrounded by nature, so make sure to bring something to do during down time!

I had an amazing time with Borja and his family! They are very welcoming, happy and friendly. The village is super cute and in the middle of the mountains/forest. The work was absolutely managable. Some tasks inside the house and also outside. It was a great experience!
