It was truly a special exerience to help Júlia and Borja with their project. They are a really inspiring family and I could learn a lot for life and for myself during the stay. It's a great place to connect with nature and you can feel such a good energy there, it's magical! The work was quite interesting - it was fun to learn new things and help in the garden, the forest or the household. And I really enjoyed playing with Aneka and Leia, they are soo adorable!! It was also great that there were 2 other volunteers from Sweden during my stay to spend the free time together. :) Muchas gracias!!

It was a great experience. Borja and Julia are really nice people and it was really fun to get to know their family. The place was really beautiful, but you got a bit isolated. But if you really love nature, this is the place for you. The hosts were really understanding, caring and flexible.

I really loved this experience! The place is beautiful, in the middle of a valley with a river just 10m away, perfect to dive in after work. It's ideal to immerse in nature, disconnect from digital life, and learn new things. I gained skills in construction, wood work, and even new dishes I'll cook back home. Borja, Julia, the kids, the dogs and Sananda were super kind. Also, thanks to the volunteers, Ali, Marco and Giulia, you made it feel like home, I really hope to see you again! The project has room to grow, but a bright future.

We lived 3 weeks at Borja and Julia's place, in full contact with nature and animals. It is a very beutiful valley, near a river where we spent the afternoons relaxing after the working morning. The place is isolated from the little village of puertomingalvo, so its difficult to reach any other place during the days off, but you can go for hiking around the mountains. The job was pretty hard but but flexible. There wasnt a lot of communication and organization beetween hosts and voluteers. That sometimes created uncomfortable situations. Frequently there was the willing of solve the problems.

I volunteered here hoping for a meaningful experience, but it fell short in key areas. The organization was disorganized, with unclear tasks and little structure. Volunteers often got conflicting instructions, causing stress and confusion. Personal time wasn't respected, and we were expected to be constantly available. The owners often came across as rude, likely without realizing it. That said, I did gain valuable skills and had moments of growth through hands-on work and adapting to challenges.

We are so sorry that you haven’t found what you were expecting, but we consider that your review doesn’t make justice to our project or to us. You didn’t write ANYTHING positive about this place, not even valued its amazing natural features. I am glad that at least you had some personal achievements.
Why didn’t you speak to us about all of this? Communication is the basis of good and prosperous relationships.

The experience in the community Viejo was very beautiful and relaxing, it's true that at the moment there was a lot of work to do, because the project was in the first months of life, so you must be prepared for that, but the reward was more than worth it, the place is magical and perfect if you are looking for a simple life in a natural environment (you will live completely surrounded by gorgeous nature), and Borja and Julia were since the very beginning welcoming and warm hosts.

I had a great time with Borja and Julia. The accomodations were very nice, and we worked the agreed upon hours and the tasks were fun. I learned how to do some things like plaster, but also did things I was familiar with like working on the car. We had fun adventures, such as to the river or to their new land, with some engine difficulties in between but no problem in the end! Thanks Borja and Julia! I hope to come back to your new house next year or the following.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I absolutely do not regret my choice of going to Borja and Julia's. I was really well received and they made me feel comfortable right from the start. The two are easy to get along with and their daughter Aneka is very cute. It's a very warm place. The room is very comfortable, and the tasks are quite easy since it's mainly taking care of the house . But if there is any problem, they are here to listen and in the more difficult tasks, Borja will always be there to motivate and encourage you! The place is very calm, it's surrounded by nature .

First and foremost the family are amazing, extremely welcoming and easy to get along with. Whether it's singing along with Julia, talking about sustainability with Borja and playing with Aneka you will have a great time. I loved being outdoors and doing different things with the family whether on the land or in town. The accomodation was nice and the tasks more than manageable. Experience I will not forget.
