Volunteer Teaching English or French at Our Pre-School In Bogota!

I am writing this on my last day of work at the school, thinking of all the wonderful moments I had this past month. The children are absolutely wonderful, each and every one of them. The teachers are trained and professional, they always try to give their best! A wonderful family business, where you can clearly see the dedication for offering a very good education for the children (and I am a fan of the Montessori method). Special thanks to Nubia for helping us with our groceries and keeping the flat tidy. Big thank you to Sofia and Ximena for making this experience possible!

I only planned on staying at the school for a month, but after 4 days, I knew that was not enough time. I cannot express enough gratitude to Sofia, Ximena, and Nubia for the past 2 months and everything they do to run the school and this volunteer experience. The teachers are knowledgeable, the kids are the absolute sweetest, and the hours and school breaks are very nice. So you can live in Bogotá and take weekend trips to other cities. The neighborhood is very safe, and you will have a more authentic experience living in Modelia instead of Candelaria or Chapi. I would 100% recommend!

I had a wonderful time in Bogotá Colombia volunteering at the school. The apartment, hours and meals were great and accurately described on their profile. The kids and teachers are wonderful as well (special shoutout to the seals🦭 ). The only thing to note is that there was a lack of communication at times about the expectations, workers at the house and knowledge about the city, like the water supply getting cut off. Other than that, it was an exceptional experience!

The school holds a special place in my heart. The children and teachers were very welcoming, and the children were always eager to learn. The apartment and location is fantastic and Sofia was always ready to help with any issues we had. I love Bogotá, and loved spending my afternoons and weekends exploring the city with the other volunteers. This experience is one that I would 100% do again, and would recommend to anyone looking to volunteer with children.

Fantastic 5 weeks at the school! The school had all the materials we needed and teachers were very welcoming! You can be dynamic, explore cretivity and create games to teach english. Kids are very smart and want to learn! If you speak a bit of spanish, the whole experience is better, so you can communicate well with kids and the staff. Very good to have the afternoon to explore the city, that has a lot to see and do! I also was able to travel during the weekends and explore others parts of Colombia, which was really great! Meeting the other volunteers made the experience complete! Gonna miss it❤️

Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! The kids were adorable and the teachers were very nice. The accommodation was nice and was in the safe place. I would 100% recommend to people who loves kids and would love to improve their Spanish:)

My experience at the school has been fenomenal, both the staff and children are amazing, and the work is easy, fun and interesting. I have got to practice my Spanish as well as meet other amazing girls from all around the world, which has truly been the bedst part of the experience for me. The apartment is great and Nubia who cleans is amazing. The whole ordering groceries is a bit hard to figure out as there often isn't the things we are used to and somewhat of a language barrier, there was lagging a bit of cutlery for four, but non of this was a problem as Sofia really listens when we bring it up.

I had an amazing 2 weeks teaching English with the school. The staff at the school are welcoming and always available to help if needed. The children were adorable and so eager to learn English! I was living in the volunteer apartment a short 2 minute walk away with the other volunteers. This apartment was in a very safe residential area of Bogotá, close to lots of cafes and bakeries and was very easy to get to the main part of the city from if you want to explore on your afternoons off! I would definitely recommend this to anybody!

I had such an amazing time at the school! The kids and staff are all so nice to you, Sofia is always available to help you no matter the issues you're having, the apartment is super comfortable and the neighborhood is lovely, with plenty of restaurants. Teaching young kids can be draining, that's why the workload was perfect and gave us lots of time to explore Bogotá, which I fell in love with as there are so many things to see and do. I still have much to discover from the city, and would 100% volunteer again if I get the opportunity, but above all recommend it to anyone!! ✨🤎

I had an amazing and fulfilling experience volunteering with the school! The teachers at the school were so nice and helpful even when my Spanish was limited. I really appreciate Miss Geraldin (🧸's class) because she has a lot of empathy for the kids and seems truly passionate about teaching so it was great to see and help her in the classroom💜It was also great teaching the children because they are so enthusiastic! Overall, this was an amazing experience and I'm super grateful for all the people I've met while in Bogota especially the children, teachers, volunteers, and Sofia. Thank you all🫶🏾🦋
