I had an amazing stay at the guest house! The work was easy and done in three hours, so you had the day off. Sometimes Madoka San and Takeo San would make lunch or take us somewhere to eat which was amazing. Madoka San made the place feel like home which made my trip unforgettable!! It was my first time volunteering somewhere so I can definitely recommend this place! Also it's not far away from the train station and is In a great location!

I couldn't be more grateful to Takeo-san and Madoka-san for welcoming me to the guest house. I stayed there for 3 months and the time really flew by! They are kind people, willing to discover other cultures as well as share their own: we had takoyaki, okonomiyaki and sushi party at the hostel! The work was the same as the description and it was easy, we always finished on time which left the whole day to discover the city (or, as Osaka is central, the others around !!). I felt at home during this volunteering and will always be grateful for it! Thank you very much ❤️

Amazing experience from start to finish. Didnt know what to expect but I definitely left with much more than anticipated. It was my first experience volunteering but I know it was great. Everything was new but felt weirdly familiar. cant wait to be back! The staff from the hostel was nothing less than caring loving and funny. The guest house, was a great experience, they were always very Clearly with the tasks and we felt like in home, always comfortable and happy. The hostel is nice and clean, we were in a only girls room which was nice. The hostel have a great location to meet the City and to meet local people.☺️🤍 Thanks for our time there.

Had a wonderful experience volunteering here. I really felt home, the location is great, the balance private time and be with others is perfect, great facilities, and met local people and experiences local activities. I will come back whenever I am back in Osaka!

Not a very pleasant experience whatsoever. Mould in the rooms which made everyone including myself sick. Drips in the ceiling in the main lounge area. Dirty sheets which are not cleaned leading to several guests complaining. Un sanitary cleaning eg: floors washed with only water? Volunteers being told they had to leave early on no fair grounds whatsoever and disputes taking place in front of guests. Some very uncomfortable situations and a lack of care for the volunteers. It is not safe to volunteer here. Would not recommend.

これは、他の誰も要求したことのないことです。通常、私たちはスタッフが滞在して働く場所まで自分で道を作ることを期待しています。時間が経つにつれて、管理することはますます難しくなりました。• 彼女はしばしば基本的なルールを破った。• 彼女は何度も汚れた皿を残したり、きれいな皿を片付けなかったりしました。• 彼女は体調が悪いと言って、誰にも知らせずにシフトを逃した。• 彼女は東京に行きたくて土壇場でシフトをサボったことがあります。• 彼女が欠席したり、不便を引き起こしたりしたとき、彼女はチームに謝罪しませんでした。その前日は朝6:00帰りで、単なるサボり。• 彼女が部屋の鍵をなくしたとしても、謝罪はなく、ただ支払いの申し出があった。• 一般的に、彼女は説明責任ではなくお金で問題を解決しようとしました。この行動は、私たちの多くを失望させ、苛立たせました。彼女と一緒に働いていた人たちは、それが不快でストレスだと感じました。わがままなまま大人になった典型でした。

A bit more than 1 month working at the reception here.I'll say that your experience depend a lot about the other volunteers you'll be with. Mine has been mixed. I didn't feel the "family/home" vibe you can find sometimes in guesthouse. The japanese girls at the reception were super nice and kind, as well as Madoka san (manager). At first the cleanliness wasn't the best which led to more problems/tensions.Then the cleaning crew gradually changed and the manager decided to re-explain all the cleaning work. At the end of my stay,I felt a bit better.Thanks Madoka san Still,not my best experience

The hostel is comfortable, and the staff are welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere. However, my experience ended negatively. I was pressured to leave a high rating on Booking.com, something never stated as required work. I also disagree with asking staff to write reviews to boost ratings. After forgetting multiple times, I was threatened with eviction, which felt unfair, especially since it meant losing my $100 deposit, which was meant only for missed shifts or damages. I submitted an honest and high-rated review, though not 5 stars for everything, yet this still upset them.
