My time volunteering with Nathalie was great! From the first day I arrived I felt very welcomed. She has a beautiful property with a nice beautiful garden, a river and even chickens! We worked from 8am-3pm and every day was a little different. You could be helping out in the kitchen, out in the garden, doing yard work or in the apiary. Theres not really one thing because of course it's a business and theres lots to do! She is an amazing cook and was very flexible with my dietary needs. If you're looking for to experience the countryside with kind and open minded people, I would def suggest!

Volunteering at the farm was an unforgettable experience. In just three weeks, I learned so much, thanks to the care and support from Natalie, her family, and the team. I'm especially grateful to Natalie for welcoming me into her home, to Katy for her patience and amazing French lessons, and to Stephen for the great conversations. A big thanks also to the lovely girls in the garden. I highly recommend this place, it's truly special. Thank you for everything! Un grand merci pour tout. João Andrade Medeiros .

I enjoyed my time at the farm, I got to be involved in a few areas and got to help harvest the fruit and vegetables, I helped package the honey which was enjoyable and got to meet some bees and learn a little more about them. In my free time I was able to go on bike rides and swim in the river around the corner which was super refreshing after a day working. Overall I had an enjoyable experience so that you Nathalie, Stefan and Katy, and the ladies for welcoming me in to the team for a few weeks. All the best to you :))

I had such an amazing experience here! Nathalie made me feel so welcome and at home. Everything was communicated clearly and the work is very much as described. My time here was incredible and allowed me to step out of my comfort zone while feeling totally supported by the people around me. The closest town is very small but has all the necessities but you need a car to be able to access the other larger towns close by or grab a lift with a family member. The property itself is very quiet but great for walking to the river for a swim or reading a book when work is done. I loved it here!

Natalie is a great host and the position is exactly as advertised! She provides a cozy camper to stay in and the property is beautiful. I really enjoyed learning about her business and being able to help out. There was no issue but the communication was great so had there have been I would have felt very comfortable talking with her about it. Overall I had a great stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet, more off grid stay and looking to connect with nature more- thank you Natalie!

Nathalie is hardworking and runs a tight ship, if you are not a fussy person this experience will be good for you! I had a nice time meeting Nathalie and her family, as well as Katy in the kitchen. Food is what is given and is often vegetarian. If you are sleeping in the camper you will need to use the outhouse at night/early morning and make sure you have filtered water from the house before curfew. Wifi doesn't reach the camper so you won't have it at night. Domestic jobs (dishes and dinner preparation) are expected outside working hours. A beautiful location with lots to learn! Thanks!!!

I enjoyed working in the kitchen with Nathalie and the work wasn't too difficult. However it wasn't easy to stay in the camper van as it doesn't have a sink and toilet. There were time constraints on using the bathroom and kitchen in the main house. It was difficult to get any wifi or mobile coverage in the property.

Hello Teresa, I thank you for letting me know via this review the things that I can change for other worldpacker to enjoy their stay.

I take all of our travelers confort very seriously. That is one the the reason I insist to have a visio call prior to accepting any candidate so I can explain various things. Amoung those : the use of the camper and the use of the house.
As for internet. I do belive It depends on your device performance. Even If we now have fiber and that I run my bussiness with the internet we have, I find It important to mention on my profile that we have basic internet. After all, we do live in the country side and internet coverage is not like in the cities.

But I understand that some time goes by in between the visio and the actual stay.
Therefor, after your comments and your stay here with Bryan, I adjusted my profile by adding these element :

1. No drug and alcool use during working hour. Do has you wish in your free time.

2. House curfew since I wake up extremely early. No curfew for the rest of the premesis. You do has you wish, just not in the house after permitted hours.

3. No access to runing water in the camper : will need to use the backhouse and house for toilet use and showering

4. Please respect working schedule

5. Leave the camper as clean as it was unpon your arrival

I now belive that theses are important reminders for anyone that I will be hosting in the future.

The farm is a beautiful place and the work was fair and the hours were reasonable. However, there were a few issues related to living conditions; we stayed in the camper van where the bathroom and sink were not functional. There were many restrictions on bathroom and kitchen usage in the main house. Also close to no mobile coverage/ Wi-Fi. We believe these should have been properly communicated prior to our arrival.

In you case, you did not show up for the visio call. Maybe information was not transmitted ?
