Great location in Chinatown. Definitely recommend, the guest house had a great team and great management. I would go again.

At first I had mixed emotions about the place, but it grew on me. The bathrooms were clean, beds were comfy, everything was close by, shifts were easy, but that would mean nothing to me if it weren't for the people. Travel Hub allowed me to make real and genuine connections with people which I won't forget. Mali, Tom, and Amber were the best group of people and I'm lucky to have met them. Soldiers. I quickly felt like a local in the area which made my experience all the better. Looking for the negatives in my time there would be harder than looking for my pyjamas, and that says a lot.

Room and washroom was nice. Bar work and reception work was explained well. Only thing is one of the bars plays the music VERY loud so bring earplugs or your ears will be ringing

Do not expect a 4-star hotel, in the end you will stay at a hostel. Somehow everybody I met grew into the experience and it's a lot at the start. They also own two bars now, so it can be that you are in either one of them.

All in it was a nice stay. I liked the other staff and you have lots of free time during the week. The work was very simple, it just feeled like there was to much staff on duty and you start "fighting" for the work 😂 So especially if its your first experience its a good place for you :)

The first two weekends I worked at the Attic which was amazing!! The staff was lovely and it always got quite busy so I got to talk to a lot of people and was always in action. The second two I worked at Rimbar which was pretty boring because there are almost no guests so most of the time we were just waiting till our shift ended. My presence there felt unnecessary. The rooms were fine. Atm the AC is broken so it got quite hot in there and also a bit messy because there are no boxes to store your stuff in. Still I really enjoyed my time there and made lovely friends!!

The Travel Hub Guesthouse… I ll never forget my time here in the guest house, thanks to the Travel Hub Guesthouse and Marceau, Matthew and Tom. The hostal is really well located, in Chinatown. You have pretty much everything you need on a 5' walk. The volunteers room is really good, as well as the bathroom facilities. I was working in a reception the whole time, tasks are really easy and they are flexible if you need to change your shifts. Some volunteers also work at the bar. I feel blessed to have shared this experience with the other volunteer and Tom! 😌

I met amazing volunteers and guests at the guest house: Marceau, Hector and Tom. I worked in the bar 8-9 an hour weekends above the hostel, Attic, which has an awesome vibe. It's not much of an experience, very little outside the time with volunteer and managers didn't do much to bring us together or add to the experience. The vibe of the hostel and guests itself isn't sociable or positive. But having the other volunteers and a cool part of the guest house to live in made it a good experience.

I had a good time volunteering at TravelHubKL. I got to paint an amazing Chinatown-themed mural and was given lots of freedom in doing so! Very flexible hours too which I appreciated. Really nice location right in Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. This is not a typical hostel, there are mainly locals and mostly older men, although they're trying to rebrand towards backpackers. Malik was a great host and even let me stay later when I got sick right before leaving. Thanks for a good experience! Met some amazing other volunteers and discovered a cool new culture.

Hello! I had a great time at the Travel Guesthouse. There was an awesome community of volunteers there that I really vibed with. Going out to eat, explore and just vibing in general with them. It really made the experience for me. Malik was great, easy to talk to, easy to reach and communicate any problems with. He also gave us a couple of food tours around the city. Overall great dude and has a lot of wise life advice. All the staff were also super nice and easy to get along with. I'd recommend this experience.
