The experience

Imagine you live in a beautiful coastal town in mexico that is full of potential in every single direction. You can learn how to surf, you can give your artistic life a go, you have the time and space and environment to give life to your personal projects while you help us out in our beautiful little hostel.



What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Parties: Get discounts at nearby parties and clubs.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English and Intermediate Spanish

Over 20 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Brainstorm creative ways to attract backpackers, digital nomads, or artist travellers

3. Reception & Guest Experience ✨
Be the face of the hostel—welcome guests, handle check-ins/outs, and solve issues with a smile

Train staff in 5-star hospitality

Turn complaints into opportunities—guest satisfaction is your superpower

4. Housekeeping & Maintenance 🧹🔧
Ensure rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and picture perfect

Coordinate with cleaning and fix minor issues

Keep inventory stocked (toilet paper = hostel gold)

5. Entertainment & Atmosphere 🎉
Curate the vibe! Help plan events (family dinners, game nights, live music, surf days, art nights)

Encourage guest interactions—because the best hostels feel like a big, global family

Keep common areas buzzing (good music, friendly volunteers, spontaneous fun)
