The hostel is an amazing place to connect with other people from all over the world and locals. Dominique is a super host and tries to accommodate as much as possible so you can enjoy your free time exploring the surroundings and surf. The hostel is an cool chill place, and small enough to give off family vibes. Would only highly recommend!

What you need to know about Baja: Baja has its special culture due to its unique location - It doesn't have strong "local" culture and vibe as the rest of the Mexico. What they have is amazing and powerful nature and people from all over the Mexico and the world. The hostel. The best location, and we had the best team :) and the weirdest- cutest cat Nopal 🌵 Dominique is a professional and safety-cautious person. She made sure things get done, and everyone( including volunteers) is safe. I worked with 4-5 other volunteers and everyone brought really good kind vibes. I'll miss you all!

This was my first time volunteering and I'm so glad I was able to come here. Dominique is the most understanding and supportive person the work under. As soon as we communicated situations that were uncomfortable, she really supported us and made changes that ensures the safety of everyone including emotional safety. I will come back in the future and this is the most amazing place you can go to. If your hesitating a little bit, just do it. Love you 😍 and can't wait to come back!!

Martina volunteered with us for a bit over a month. She brought a positive energy to the place and was fun to have around. She was responsible with her tasks and reliable when it came to her shifts. Martina was a good addition to the team, and we appreciated her help. We'd recommend her to other hostels looking for a solid, friendly volunteer.

The hostel will always be a special place for me. I enjoyed every single day there and could not recommend it more. Miguel and Dominique are such rays of sunshine; they both care about the place, and you'll instantly feel like you belong. The job was not hard, and you'll always feel supported. It was really hard to say goodbye, and crazy enough, I hope I'll be back someday. ☀️ If you're still thinking about whether to apply, please do. You won't regret it!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay, as both my host and fellow volunteers were very nice to be around. The location is phenomenal, as was the food, weather, meeting locals and/or international travelers. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone, and I'm truly fortunate this was where I stayed for my first (and certainly not last) visit to Mexico. Del Cabo in particular is such a lovely town, that it made me sad to leave only after a couple weeks, but I'll remember this hostel for the future. Thank you for letting me volunteer, I had an unforgettable time.

I absolutely adored my experience here! It was my first Volunteer program and Miguel and Dominique were so lovely and helpful! I was also very lucky with the other volunteers that were there at the same time as me! We were like a family and it was just a magical experience. Located right in the hostel of San Jose, the job was fairly easy and you always had support :) I would definitely recommend it! I'll always treasure the beautiful memories I made here <3

This was my first work exchange and I had a blast! I came with my friend and Davier tried his best to give us the same days off so that we could experience Cabo together. I couldn't have been luckier with the group I worked with, we truly made some new friends ❤️ it would be nice to know a little bit of spanish before coming but everyone was so kind to help us learn and we were fine. The work was so easy like the worst thing you'll have to do is clean and then go hang in the hammock:) I also have a remote job and there was so much free time to do your own activities. Thank you the hostel🫶🌵

San Jose and the hostel will always be a special place to me. It was a great volunteer experience. If you're not a Spanish speaker, don't worry Abel, the manager Or your coworkers guests will help you (Davi has good eye for good people). It's a small hostel with plenty of opportunity to connect. Everything you need will be within walking distance; beach, groceries, restaurants, etc. The hostel is right in the centre of the city but it still maintains a lowkey and tranquil vibe. There's a great community in San Jose, it's easy to feel at home. Reach out if you have any questions :)

Davier has created such a beautiful space and community in the hostel of SJDC! The guests that came in and out of the hostel are some of the coolest people I had the chance to cross paths with, and I'm so grateful Davi was able to give me the chance to be apart of it. The work was very reasonable and I think if you're able to immerse yourself in the team of volunteers, you're bound to have a good time 🇲🇽
