Program Details

The farm owner, Alberto, is a retired research professor specializing in animal nutrition. One of his greatest joys in life is teaching students or anyone who wants to learn, and this farm is the fulfillment of his lifelong dream.
The farm is dedicated to the production of animals, eggs, and meat, encompassing all the activities involved.
The owner has intermediate proficiency in English, while his wife only speaks Spanish. This presents an incredible opportunity for volunteers who are learning Spanish to improve their language skills.
The farm has a carpentry workshop where all the necessary constructions for the house or farm are carried out. Most of the materials used are recycled, as we have state permits to engage in large-scale non-profit recycling.
The area surrounding the house has a swimming pool, barbecue area, and terraces available for the volunteers.

Activities & Shift

The activities to be carried out include cleaning, feeding, and taking care of the animals in the farm area. In the carpentry workshop, tasks involve recycling wooden pallets, obtaining boards, and constructing cages, tables, windows, and doors as needed for the house and farm. In the house area, tasks include garden maintenance, wall painting, cleaning of common areas, and basic repairs.
The working hours are from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, but they can be adjusted depending on the volunteers' needs, as long as the required 25 weekly hours are fulfilled. It is important to discuss any schedule changes with the owner.
Breakfast is served at 8:00 am, and lunch is at 2:00 pm. Dinner can be arranged at a time convenient for the volunteers.
