This is by far the best volunteering experience I have done during my travels. The energy at this place is top because you will make lifelong friends with the staff, locals, volunteers, and guests. The work I did here was valued by my hosts (Onur and Ilker) and they respected the volunteering hours so that I could explore the city and have time for myself. The Kadikoy neighborhood is an outstanding place to live because the streets are buzzing with young people, fun cafes, amazing sunsets, and great nightlife. Never a boring moment at the hostel! Thank you guys.

I had a great experience at the hostel. The job is a fair trade, the work hours are respected, and I had all the facilities described when i applied for this position. I could connect with people from all over, explore the city and keep my remote work routine. Thanks for having me :)

My stay at the hostel was an amazing experience that i'll cherish. however, the manager disliked me immediately and he got very upset when i requested a day off due to illness. there were also lots of problems with the accommodation, we were promised a female dorm but i was put into a mixed 8 bed dorm for the majority of my stay. i ended up staying in 4 different rooms during my month long stay. the hostel is in an amazing location - kadikoy is beautiful and very lively. i can't say enough good things about the other volunteers - they make the hostel feel like a home that you won't want to leave!

I did not want to leave a review about this volunteer because I did not want her profile to have awful review although it is nice for future businesses to be aware I didn't want to affect her future stays. Everything I had to say were negative although it is pretty difficult for us to have a negative impression as we are pretty easy going and an understanding place for our volunteers and we try to help them as much as we can.

She was calling out sick every 2 days within the first week, however, the same exact night, she would party hard and sleep at 6 am, although she has a shift at early morning next day (which is fine for us if they can manage it) but doing that in front of us on the day you call out sick is not cool at all. I evaluated well until I told her it is not nice to call out sick everytime she feels a bit unwell. She used the excuse that was morally not easy to say "no" to.

She did not do her job and had no enthusiasm to do the simple tasks she was supposed to, she was simply the worst volunteer I have had in this hostel unfortunately. She was never promised a female dormitory, it has always been only a possibility, our profile never said that we guarantee a specific room either.

We have decided to terminate her stay at some point due to zero responsibility and carelessness going up everyday, however, I did not want to discourage her and make her feel bad as she is still young and I felt waiting until the end of her time was a better thing to do since at that time it was 8-10 days left for her stay., so we did not tell her anything and we did not reflect it at all not to make her uncomfortable.

What she did is a pity and an insincere action leaving the review in the very last second before the deadline so we could not share a review for her and talk about her performance here. This alone confirms things.

I do not have anything else to say at this point. Wish her good luck and I sincerely wish life will teach her and she will in the future comprehend what kindness and ethical behaviors are like..

I was only supposed to volunteer at the hostel for 1 month, but ended up staying for 2. Living in this hostel with these amazing people really impacted my life in a positive way. It really is a family. This experience taught me about community, sharing, caring, and so much more. I left part of my heart at the hostel, and in Istanbul. Trust me, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss. I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you İlker and Onur for everything ❤️

Being at the hostel was the best volunteering I have ever done. The neighborhood is perfect, the hostel is beautiful, the people who work there are super cool and with good vibes. An excellent atmosphere. The bosses are clear, always with good vibes and will try to help you in everything you need. The working conditions are even better than advertised. You just have to be a good person, do your homework and dedicate yourself to enjoy the magic of Istanbul.

Had a wonderful time at the hostel. The hostel itself is beautiful and the location is perfect, the work is straightforward and as agreed on. The managers are usually around in case you need anything and I made friends with lots of great people. Definitely recommend!

My experience in the hostel was amazing, I had so much fun, meet wonderful people, other travelers staying as guests and also other volunteers that stayed while I was there. I'm very thankful with the local staff of the hostel and also with the friends that I made because of the wonderful time, adventures, parties and working environment. I truly recommend to volunteer in the hostel, all the facilities are great and is located in one of the most artistic neighborhoods of Istanbul. I'll bring this experience in my heart for the rest of my journey around the word. Cheers!

The hostel is an amazing place to volunteer! The neighborhood is the best in Istanbul and the vibe in the hostel is amazing. There's a weekly schedule and the working hours are very good! All the other volunteers and managers are great! Thank you for my time in here, I had so much fun!
