I had a great time here. The Hostel is nice, the working hours are really good and it is super close to the city center, would recommend it :)

It was a really nice experience, the place was very centric It has been a very pleasant experience. The location is central, making it highly convenient. The facilities are well-maintained, and everything you need is provided. The working hours are not too long, so you have plenty of time to do as you wish afterward. I encountered some issues with the host due to certain circumstances, but we managed to resolve them in the end. I truly hope everything goes well for them.

My stay as a volunteer at the hostel was very positive. The cleaning tasks were easy and quick, and were completed in about two hours a day, so I was able to enjoy the city. In addition, the flexible schedule allowed me to choose my days off. The atmosphere was welcoming and the host was friendly and relaxed. I would definitely recommend the hostel for an experience in Osaka.

The manager & other volunteers were all very nice & the work was incredibly easy — usually under two hours. However, I wasn't put in the dorms, like the photos & description showed. Instead, I was put in a tiny apartment (not shown in the photos!) 5 min. walk from the hostel with a mattress on the floor as my bed. I had a Japanese roommate who was incredibly nice & fun to talk to, but she worked multiple jobs and would come home extremely late. I'm a light sleeper & this wasn't ideal for me. The manager was kind enough to let me leave, so I went back to my previous Worldpackers hostel.

The place is great and well situated in Osaka. There is no staff room so we stayed with the guests in a 10 people domitory (be aware that there is always people checking their luggages then leaving very early, snoring, showering at 1am or turning the light on at 5:30am, even if there is rules). The host was very kind to us once we proved ourselves trustable, but we did see him getting aggressive at someone once.

Everything went well with other travelers but the host was very aggressive, angry, disrespectful and scary. he started to scream at me on my last night there that i couldn't cook my own food because i didn't clean the kitchen after myself, when the kitchen itself was dirty from day one, i do clean after myself, but not the dirt from other people as it was not my job to clean that part of the hostel, only the rooms, beds and bathrooms. the next day i didn't even get to take all my food as he pushed me out the door and screamed at me to leave. be very careful of this man, don't come here please!

I had a good time in Osaka and I met lovely people. The work hours are just 2 hours per day 5 times a week. Sometimes you finish even earlier. A lot of time to explore Osaka. But it really depends on the volunteers how clean the hostel is, because there is no temporary cleaning staff.

The stay at the hostel was nice. I was in a women dorm with 4 beds (I asked beforehand for a womendormery). How clean it is depends on how well you're doing the job. You only need to work a few hours per day when you clean. Sometimes I also did the reception (it's also possible with only a bit Japanese knowledge). The best part of the job were the coworkers who were international and also national travelers :)

Hide-san is a very kind and welcoming host. He gives the staff small gifts and sometimes he even buys us food. Sadly he had a health issue the last days of my stay and couldn't see him as happy as he is. Hopefully when he recovers he will be as happy and energetic as usual

I've had a great experience at the hostel, from getting to experience and be welcomed by the local team to making new international friends who are part of the volunteer program. Hide-san will always try to give you the days off you want, and the cleaning does not take a long time; it's pretty straightforward. I have made some great friendships thanks to the opportunity I was given, so I am very grateful for it. The team at the hostel is flexible, friendly, and accommodating, and I recommended it to anyone looking for a volunteer cleaning position at a hostel.
