Meeting and working with many people in the château, including those from the Center and around the world, was a great experience for me. Through the English breaks held twice a week and the books available, I was able to learn about Buddhism and the Center. The work itself was easy except during the busy season (I mainly helped wash dishes in the cafeteria and occasionally assisted with cooking), and I was so happy to be included in the celebrations for Christmas and New Year. When you take a walk around the area, you'll be impressed by the clear winter air and the beautiful forests ☺️🌿

My experience at the Center was amazing, everyone is so welcoming , I could Learn more about Buddhism and participate the Center class as well, I had the chance to improve my English and also Learning a little bit of French! The place is so beautiful, we have a forest just crossing the street Wich is so nice to walk around. I was at the housekeeping shift, The work is very easy, we always have time to hike or explore the small and cute village close to the Center , Gyalwang and Barbara is a amazing and lovely leader and always there if we have any doubt. I wish I could stay more.

This was my first experience traveling as a volunteer, and I truly believe I couldn't have picked a better place. Everyone was so kind and sweet, and I felt truly welcomed. The work was manageable and rewarding, and it taught me a lot about teamwork. The place is incredibly beautiful, and the environment is wonderfully peaceful. I'm leaving now feeling happy and grateful for this experience. Thank you to everyone at the center for creating such a welcoming atmosphere.

I had a very good experience at the Center. I met many people, whether they were volunteers, people who were on retreat or lived there. They were all very nice people and always willing to help. I was in the kitchen area and the work was easy and not at all hard. I had between 3 and 4 shifts of 1 or 2 hours each per day. In my free time I could participate in certain meditations, walk around the area and they lend you some bikes. There's not many places nearby, but it's a beautiful place. You also have Le Mans 1 hour away by bus.

Volunteering at the Center the Center was such a great experince. The location is wonderful - an amazing castle in the middle of pure nature where good vibe people gather to practice modern budism. Everyone is there to help if you need or have any questions, the work is fun and easy. What I really appeciated is the fact that I had the chance to participate to the meditations and teachings of Spiritual Director Gen Kelsang Eupame which really helped me to get a better understanding of modern budism and how to apply it in day to day life in order to live in peace and happiness.

The time in the Center just happens in a very different way. I really enjoy this experience, not just because of the volunteering time but because everything. The castle is a magical place, so quiet and peaceful, is like to be in a real fairytale story. The people is very nice, flexible, and you can notice all the effort they put in every detail to make it works the best as it can. This experience allowed me to practice my language and to learn new ones by being surrounded by people from everywhere. I learned about the Buddhism practice, and I had the opportunity to attend some clases

We volunteered for two weeks at the Center in the Center, helping with gardening. It was a great experience. We met lovely people, enjoyed the peaceful place, and learned about Buddhism. The meditations were helpful, and the food (vegetarian/vegan) was good, even if we couldn't cook ourselves. The location was quite remote, but our work hours were fair and our supervisor José was super kind. Overall, a very positive experience!
