I've had an incredible time at the project Kadampa! Everybody was very welcoming and kind and I was able to meet a lot of fellow volunteers who quickly became real friends. The hours were always respected and the work was very varied. I worked a lot in the kitchen which was a great experience and I learned a lot. The grounds are amazing and very relaxing. There is not a lot to do in the surrounding area, but there are some villages in walking distance with a shop and pub which are nice to visit on your days off. I would highly recommend volunteering here :)

Looking back on my time at the meditation centre, it all feels like a dream that passed in the blink of an eye. I still remember the drive there—the golden wheat fields lining the road, the tall trees stretching towards the sky—it felt as if I were escaping the real world and entering a hidden paradise. And in many ways, it truly was a utopia nestled among the golden fields. Here, I experienced the calm of the English countryside and encountered so much kindness and warmth from the people around me. I think I'll always remember the peaceful afternoons, and the smiling faces of my friends.

The place is beautiful with forest, lake and some animals. The people here are very friendly, there is a very calm atmosphere. Working hours are always respected. We can participate in meditations outside of our working hours.

I volunteered at the project for two weeks. The end of April was perfect with nature blossoming and birds singing. I met some truly lovely souls who were volunteering at the same time. It was nice that there were people staying for different lengths of time, some for two weeks, others longer. The 6 pm dinners usually turned into late-night chats, which were definitely one of the highlights of my time there. I worked in the café, and the manager, Jason, is honestly one of the kindest people I've ever met. It doesn't matter if you've never tasted coffee, he will teach you everything!

I have spent two amazing weeks in this Centre and have enjoyed it a lot. It is very rural but the walks into neighbouring villages were beautiful. The work tasks were as agreed upon and varied from housekeeping to working in the cafe. Through this opportunity I got to share meals and have some great conversations with not only fellow travelers but also some long-time residents. If you are interested in learning more about Buddhism and experiencing a more calm environment than the busy city life, then this Centre is the perfect spot.

My time at the project Kadampa Meditation Centre was absolutely amazing! Everyone there was welcoming, kind and just a pleasure to be around. The working hours were just as we agreed upon, with various tasks such as Houskeeping, Cleaning and working in the World Peace Cafe. The latter had been an amazing experience to learn how to work in a cafe and learn how to make coffee under the kind, well-explained and patient guidance of the Manager Jason. It's a nice opportunity to learn about Buddhism and Meditation as well, with many classes to attend. So all in all, I'd recommend it greatly. :)

My experience was incredible. I was a bit afraid at first because this was my first time volunteering abroad and my English is not good enough. Besides that, I work remotely for a company in Brazil and we had a big project to finish up and everyone at the Centre was really understanding as they allowed me to work in Brazil time zone. I would like to thank Andy, Julie, Sandra, Sian, Jason, Amanda, Ric and all the other residents for being so wonderful and for making this experience so unique.

Our experience at the Meditation Centre was amazing. We had the chance to learn about Buddhism and attend Meditation classes and teachings. It is a place where you feel close to nature as it is located in a beautiful countryside. You will hear the birds singing, see the ducks in the lake, animals like horses, sheep and cows around the centre. It is a place where the sense of community is really strong and everybody feels welcome and supported. We are so grateful for having the opportunity to volunteer there and we have learnt a lot from all the residents that make Nargarjuna so special.

Everyone is very kind and friendly; it's an empathetic community where you can feel great energy and breathe peace and tranquility. The tasks you collaborate on are simple and enjoyable. Additionally, if you'd like to have a closer connection and learn about the Buddhist religion, it's an excellent place for your volunteering experience.
