It was a great experience for me to cook with natural organic ingredients that I actually had planted myself in the beginning. Thanks a lot to Olov who made this 2 months incredibly easy to handle.

There aren't enough stars to give to Olov! During your staying you will learn a lot of different things, it's impossible to get bored. The work is not hard, since there are a lot of different things to do u can choose what to do according to your interests and your routine. Olov is so funny and full of resources, ideas and talents! At the farm I've felt at home since the first day, also Åke (his brother) will make you feel part of the family. I had a lot of time to discover the neighbourhoods, relax and create amazing relationships. Totally recommended, I will miss Olov and all the volunteers!

My first Worldpackers experience at Olle's farm was emotionally healing and unforgettable. From the start, Olle made me comfortable by touring me around the town, house, and farm. On weekdays 3-7:30 pm, I fed and milked cows. I also watered fruits & veggies, harvested potatoes, and picked blueberries. In my free time, I canoed in a lake, went to a jazz festival, and had movie nights. I'll always treasure my conversations and bike rides with other volunteers, and playing guitar while Olle played bass. Come for cows, cats, international connections, music, nature, and peaceful countryside life.

First worldpacker, best experience in my year. It is the best place to think about myself. You can stay in touch with the nature, walking in the middle of the woods or have long cycling to the lakes, rivers or the sea. There is even a canoe!! The work is funny, there are a lot of jobs that you can dedicate to. The host, Olov is helpful for you necessities and information you need. I've been in summer, and there were many other volunteers with you can socialize or have fun. For nightlife you can go to the main city: Söderahmn, in bars or pubs; or typical festival in the nearby

My first job volunteer and it couldn't be better. Olov is a such lovely person. we felt really welcoming since the first moment we arrived in Söderala. My husband and I worked on the garden, so we learned about the flowers, seeds, and trees. However, there are other stuffs to learn and work in the farm. Olov is paciente to teach and explain about the job and everything you wanna know about Sweden history and culture. During our stay Olov brought us to a rock concert, to visit several lakes and the beach, and he also took us to a folk music festival where he taught me how to dance Polska.

My experience there couldn't be better. Olov is a great guy, very welcoming and considerate person to all volunteers. I really enjoyed the house (specially the music instruments and vinyl player within the house). My wife and I learned a lot about gardening, plants, flowers, seeds and we ate the best strawberry which was from the yard. We also learned a lot about Swedish music, culture and history! There are bikes, so it's really easy to go around and there are loads of things to do in free time. I had a great time and great experience there!

My time at Olov's farm has been rewarding and fun! I learned how to the farm cows, make paint, and Swedish dance! Olov is committed to immersing volunteers in the local culture, whether it's a folk music festival, a museum, or live music in the nearby city! During downtime, volunteers have access to bikes or can go swimming at nearby lakes and rivers. Volunteers get their own rooms, everyone cooks together and enjoys fresh meals.

Olle gave me the tasks that were agreed on and I could work on my own. I had my own room and there was enough food everyday! My task demanded it so I worked a little bit more than agreed but that was my own decision. You are able to manage your own workdays and Olle doesn't force you to work more! I had very much fun working in his wood workshop and at his brothers farm with the cows and driving the tractor 😄

My stay at Olle's farm was my first volunteering experience and it was really nice. Olle is a quirky and funny guy who will try his best to make you feel comfortable. I had a ton of fun working on projects on the farm and getting to know other volunteers as well as the Swedish countryside/culture :) One thing to keep in mind is, that you have to be prepared to clean a lot as a farm can get dirty pretty fast.(Of course only if you want everything to be squeaky clean, it's not mandatory) Overall I can recommend Olle's farm to anyone who loves outside work and good company! (And good food haha)
