My time at the reserve was truly amazing! Being able to learn about and work alongside the different species of turtles is something I will never forget. However, what made this experience extra special was the people. The community they have built at the reserve is like a family that I feel very lucky to have been a part of. I definitely hope to return in the future!

This experience was truly incredible. All of the people are so kind and truly make it feel like a family. The work you do it so amazing and so very rewarding. I would say that you really get out of it whatever you put into it- go into it with a positive outlook and a willingness to work and learn, and it will be something incredible. It was such a positive experience and certainly something that I will remember for the rest of my life. I could not recommend it more, I genuinely don't have the words to express just how absolutely amazing the whole experience was.

I had an amazing experience at the reserve. The hands on learning was invaluable and I learned so much during my time there. It can be a lot of hard work so come prepared with a positive attitude and willingness to be of service. The accommodations are quite rustic which personally I found charming and it made me love it that much more but know going in that if you are uncomfortable with a more rural style of living this might not be the best fit for you. Overall an absolutely incredible experience and I will definitely be returning again.

I really enjoyed my stay!! The people are amazing and the work was so interesting. I learnt loads and saw lots of amazing wildlife. I hope to come back at some point in the future :)

Overall it was a beautiful experience. Learning from the researchers assistants and working with the turtles was the highlight of my stay. Co-living with international people was also very fun and fulfilling.

This was an incredible experience getting to dive into the world of conversation in the remote jungle of Costa Rica! I really felt like I got to disconnect from the business of daily life, slow down, and appreciate nature! Be ready to live the "rural jungle life" and don't forget to bring a headlamp :) We met so many incredible people from all over the world and learned so much through hands-on sea turtle patrols.

During my time there in the reserve I learned a lot about different topics, no only about sea turtles but how to collaborate to make things different and in a more sustainable way. Disconnecting from the routine and overwhelmed city/job life style, getting to know a new culture and getting closer to nature were my goals for this trip, and I can happily say I achieved what I was looking for. Hardly recommend this volunteering, this experience is really nice, and the people is awesome. I really feel I'm leaving a family there.

I spent a week at the reserve and so wish I could've/ would've stayed longer with the team! The organisation is incredibly run and the people at Mariposa camp we're just fabulous. Some truly inspiring people! Wild highly recommend spending some time here. My knowledge on the turtles increased significantly in the week and everyone was so knowledgeable. In addition to the environmental awareness of this programme, it also allows you to be within nature, disconnected from the world with inspiring people and truly wonderful locals! Thanks the reserve!

Volunteering at the reserve was a great learning experience and a wonderful week to get in touch with nature. Everyone at the camp was helpful and welcoming. I learned a lot about turtle conservation and communal living. All the projects on the camp brought the volunteers and students closer together, and I will forever be grateful for the connections I made. If you want a bit of disconnection from a busy life and peaceful time in nature this is for you!
