I stayed at the hostel for a month and it was amazing! The problems that happened were nothing other than regular, the staff is like family now, and the city is lovely! I highly recommend enjpying the balcony, the milkshakes at Kronkel and and a long walk at the beach! the hostel is definetly my home in the Netherlands (:

I spent a really good time at the hostel. Thanks a lot to Ben (who unfortunately had to leave), Marek, Constanza, Agustina and Raphael. Thanks also a lot to Kim and Joep who opened me their doors for me and to Jamie, Dominique and Bastian for the amazing food they gave me. Nijmegen is a great little town and also is the hostel. I had to da bit of reception and a bit of cleaning, but no matter what your task is, it is not hard and after that you can chill all day long in their facilities. Thanks again for everything the hostel Team and good luck in the future.

It was an amazing journey! Especially thanks to the other volunteers I have worked with and the restaurant staff made me feel like home. Hostel was great to stay and the city was fascinating. My task was reception and it requires to be at the hostel 6 hours a day but since you can spend your time in the terrace, living room, or wherever you want inside the hostel during your working hours; it is not a problem. Only problem was there is no meal on monday and tuesdays there were no meals.and neither a tippend to cover this expense. Plus there weren't one beer in dinner as it was written :(

We didn't write the original text ourselves, so we took out the beer part and made it more explicit the restaurant is closed two days a week.

El hostel fue nuestra primera experiencia como voluntarios para mí pareja y para mí, ha sido una experiencia muy buena y sumamente positiva, un ambiente súper respetuoso, cordial, donde todo lo pactado previamente se cumple y en caso contrario siempre el propietario y/o encargado están abiertos al diálogo y resolver las diferentes situaciones que pueden ir surgiendo. Las instalaciones son super cómodas y las tareas que se deben realizar son sencillas. Recomendamos esta experiencia en Nimega y en el Hostel. Saludos Fabio y Manuela

Definitivamente ha sido un antes y un después en mi vida esta experiencia. Estoy muy agradecida con todos y sobre todo con Junior por cuidarme y brindarme todo el apoyo siempre. El hostel es hermoso y el equipo increíblemente bueno!

Como meu inglês é bem básico, fiquei com medo de não passar pela entrevista. Mas a entrevista foi em português, bem objetiva e rápida. O Hostel fica perto de tudo, o quarto do staff é simples, mas a cama é confortável. Junior e Linda me fizeram sentir em casa. O trabalho é simples e básico. O hostel tem um clima amistoso e caloroso. Oferece um café da manhã digno e três dias de folga para você aproveitar a beleza de Netherlands ou de países vizinhos. Tem bicicletas free para passeios. Me sinto realmente em casa com amigos. Vale muito à pena a experiência! Pode fazer sua aplicação sem medo.

O hostel e Nijmegen foi uma surpresa mais do que surpreendente. A cidade e linda e acochegante. Joep e uma pessoa maravilhosa com um coracao de pai. Se preocupa muito com o nosso bem estar, esta sempre querendo saber se estamos bem, promove encontro entre nos para que possamos nos unir e nos conhecer melhor, fui presenteada para cuidar do jardim. Fiz com muito amor. Joep vem melhorando o hostel, para atender melhor os hospedes e os voluntarios. Amei esse lugar, amei o carinho do Joep conosco sem preferencias. Acho que todos deveriam viver essa experiencia.

Excelente primera experiencia como voluntaro. El Hostel esta muy bien ubicado y hay un muy buen ambiente de trabajo y excelente convivencia. Lo mejor es que la idea de Joep es que el hostel siempre tenga diferentes proyectos que involucren a lxs voluntarios y que no sea solo trabajar ahí y dormir. En cuanto a la ciudad, es muy linda y tranquila. Buen punto para desde allí recorrer otros lugares de los Países Bajos .

Joep tiene un corazon enorme que se ve a kilómetros! Ahora está reabriendo su hostal y si bien es un trabajo arduo, creo que lo peor ya paso, por favor vayan a conocerlo y ayudarlo!! Por lo demás Nijmegen es una hermosa antigua ciudad de historia Romana que puedes caminar en un par de horas. Le deseo todo lo mejor al Hostal y espero siga siendo un lugar de encuentro para viajeros del mundo :)

Mi experiencia en Hostal el hostel fue bastante buena. El grupo de voluntarios fue super simpático y trabajador, por lo que pudimos tener un buen trabajo de equipo y ver un tremendo avance en el Hostal. Joep es muy simpático y comprensivo. Sin duda el aprendizaje es super diverso, desde construir y pintar, hasta crear y diseñar. Lo recomiendo!!
