My first volunteering experience was full of learning. They send the schedule in advance, the accommodation is excellent, and the view from the terraza is incredible. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. During the first few days, I had some difficulties, especially during the bartender shifts, but you get the hang of it over time.

I had a great experience. The staff was super nice and super helpful with the tasks, both morning and night shifts. The hotel is in a good location, the room is super comfy, and it has an amazing view of the city. I spent 15 days and it was great.

I had a great experience at the hotel Valparaiso. The place is very beautifu and unique, the room for volunteers is very comfortable ( we have a small flat with bathroom and kitchen), the tasks are very simple and the staff is very very friendly and always willing to help! I had lot of time to explore Valparaiso and Vina del Mar!💖 I recommend it 100%.

What a lovely place to end my South America trip! The hotel is unique with insane views, best in the city. You get a semi-private room with a kitchen and a weekly box of pantry staples plus other perks. The receptionists are a whole team of sweeties and will always assist you if you need help, they were accommodating with any questions or concerns I had. Your shifts revolve around bar and housekeeping. Some days are super chill and others, you might have to run around, up and down. Nothing is ever perfect but overall, I had cute evenings, chats and memories here. I really appreciated my stay.

My experience at the hotel was great ! I had the opportunity to meet a lot of other volunteers and learn new skills such as bartending. The accomodation is very good and the view from it is stunning. There are two shifts : one in the morning which consists into washing dishes and rooms, and the afternoon shift which consists into bartending. I really enjoyed the bartending part. You get your planning on sunday and the hours of work are well respected. All the staff members are very nice. It's perfect if you w I highly recommend this volunteering !

This volunteer experience felt less exchange-based compared to my other experiences. On the positive side, I interacted with lovely guests in two languages, learned bar skills, and had comfortable accommodation. We received a basic food basket, which would be more useful if given on arrival. The staff team was extremely kind, friendly, and supportive. The schedule was manageable on the days I worked, though on busier days having two volunteers would be better. Overall, the experience works and is okay, but the lack of volunteer integration and exchange energy is what makes it a 3/5.

My experience with the hotel Valparaiso was really bad. There is no volunteering team, you just get assigned to one of the employees and have to obey. Volunteers are kept separated, during the shift you barely see each other. There is bullying from the cleaning team towards the volunteers, to which they assign the worst jobs to do, like only cleaning toilets for hours. There is no pause, I had to fight for a short food break. The atmosphere is very antisocial, they don't make you feel welcomed at all, I felt treated like a beggar for a room and not like a volunteer. Room in nice though

Just to clarify — you stayed only one day, and you arrived on one of the busiest days of the month, which doesn’t reflect how things normally work with the team or volunteers. It’s hard to judge the whole program from a single shift, especially since you chose not to stay longer.
