I had a lovely time volunteering at Sophie's home :) I spent free time exploring Glastonbury with another volunteer & seeing towns nearby. I was the only volunteer for week & a half since Sophie was on vacation, but her lovely 3 cats kept me company as well as Sal & Jerome (who made yummy vegan meals for me). For work I did 5hrs a day with 2 days off, gardening, cleaning, and making bread. I had a room all to myself which was really nice and cozy. Glastonbury is a really special town like no other place, very magical. I would stay with Sophie again :)

I liked this place and its special and caring hosts so much that I came back a third time! It was interesting to get to know the garden during different seasons. Each time it is a different place and a different work. Once again, I was very well received, it was a pleasure to be back. Something I haven't mentioned yet is the city of Glastonbury. It is a very special place, with a unique atmosphere, a place of healing, where pilgrims from all over the world come to visit. Once again, I recommend it!

So, where can I start? Sophie is the most wonderful and lovely Person you will meet! She made me feel at home from the moment I entered her house. I felt very welcome and the others always made sure I was ok with the tasks and that I had a good time! It is not too much work, so that you can still enjoy the beautiful surroundings and landscape in your free time! Absolute recommendation :))

Sophie was very easygoing and welcoming Tasks could get physical so I would recommend this for people who want to be in movement. Glastonbury is very quirky and the vies around are amazing. Sophie made sure the food met everyone's needs and was nourishing, and the kitchen was very well stocked and equipped for us to use too. I would recommend doing some research before coming as there were a lot of small attractions that are easily missed.. Most locals including Sophie and her family are very spiritual people which I found very unique to this experience and interesting :) Really enjoyed!

Sophie and Sally were very welcoming and such lovely people. All the tasks were laid out and explained very well. There was also a great variety of different things that we would do each day. The area is really nice as well with great views from the house and the property. The town is small but charming and there is a bus that is I was able to take to nearby towns to see some sights. Overall it was an amazing experience and I am grateful to Sophie for allowing me to stay :)

I was so happy to visit and incredibly sad to leave. Glastonbury should undoubtedly be included on your bucket-list! Highlights included watching the sunsets with fellow volunteers on the Glastonbury Tor, a 15th century tower that tops a marvellous hill. It gives birth to a white spring, where you can rejuvenate your vessel with an ice cold plunge in the water temple, a quiet space of spiritual awakening. the project is a home, where you will sleep well, eat well, think well and be well, if you allow yourself. Sophie and her fam are absolute gems. In her you will find a friend.

The experience at the project has been truly life changing. Sophie is a caring host who prioritizes your needs and will help you learn the tasks that need to be done. The work is reasonable and varied, there is always something that needs to be done but there is never a rush! Glastonbury is truly a special place that always has something interesting going on. Would love to come back in the future!

It was an incredible experience! My girlfriend and I were warmly welcomed, Sophie hear us about schedules, tasks, and days off. Sophie consistently showed concern for the group and made an effort to engage with the volunteers. While the work could be a bit demanding, especially on sunny days, it was nothing unexpected, and most of the time, the tasks were quite manageable. We had the opportunity to explore Glastonbury thoroughly, as well as the surrounding towns. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Sophie is a lovely and caring person who made us feel at home. The past work was always done with understanding and respect. The city of Glastonbury is an extra bonus—it's colorful, diverse, lively, and musical. It's worth including in your itinerary to explore and visit the charity shops and local pubs. It was great to learn about gardening, interact with the insects in the soil, and spend time with the cats
