Help in and around the house

Guesthouse the inn is a great volunteer experience. It is 5 hours of work that will be different every day. A prospective volunteer should be aware that this work will involve manual labor and being outside, but it is all safe and reasonable work. Robert is a hard working and fair man, and he is flexible for his volunteers if needed. The guesthouse is in a remote village, so there are not many non-Croatians or other travelers to socialize with. The experience is more one of immersing yourself in the day-to-day life of the small village of Lovište. Recommend for unique and authentic experience.

We will forever be grateful for our time spent here. the inn is truly a special place with the most special, welcoming people. You will be well cared for and definitely well fed!! To Robert we are especially thankful for welcoming us into his home and showing us his beautiful vision for his farm and B&B. He cares so much about his people and his home. If you have a good sense of humor and a good work ethic you will love this stay. This is a peaceful place and not one to be rowdy and party. Respect Robert's home and he will respect you. Thank you for the amazing memories <3 Zach & Allie

Respect Robert's beautiful home and you will have his respect. Thank you Robert and the inn

This is my first volunteering experience and one that has set a very high bar for other hosts! Robert is very kind and friendly whilst being a joy to work with. I had a lot of fun understanding how his guesthouse works and also about their lifestyle in a small town. He even brought me and my fellow volunteer to play soccer alongside other locals! The highlight was also the great food that was provided. Besides this, Loviste is just very beautiful and peaceful especially during the off peak season and allows for a very relaxing environment. I will miss the host and Loviste!

The place is really nice, Loviste it's a cute village and the peninsula is absolutely stunning. Food and room it was also good. The volunteer in the farm it was HARD (I felt I was working and not doing a volunteer - it was my feeling under the tasks). Sometimes I tried to help around the house and Robert was kind of impolite, so I stopped to do it after the 5h in the farm. Maybe many people around and he is not so patient to talk and teach. He was always joking but few times I felt he was impolite with me. In general the experience was cool I was grateful to appreciate the beauty of the place

Positive: 1. The host is flexible changing work schedules. 2. The place is beautiful, very quiet. 2. The food is delicious. Negative: 1. They gave me a dirty place to sleep, I had to clean it and there was no bathroom nearvy, it is located in a situable place. 2. The pictures are not the same as the actual accommodation, they gave me a trailer to sleep in. 3. They didn't give me good tools to do my job, everything was very neglected.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it was incredible. Robert is a heartfelt person who wants to get to know you and also share his thoughts about life with you. The staff is also heartwarming once you warm up to them. The tasks are mainly physical and sometimes difficult, but Robert is flexible to your abilities. The peninsula is incredibly beautiful and offers many opportunities to connect with nature and exercise. Other than my stay in a caravan without sanitary facilities (these were provided in the restaurant 100m away) there is nothing to complain about.

I would agree with the other reviews. Pros: - Beautiful town, beaches and food. - There were some super kind workers there who we really liked. - Robert and the other workers were very kind when we had to leave due to my mental health. Cons- Doing the dishes/ setting up and cleaning the table for every meal is not included in your daily 5 hours. - I was told we'd mostly be working in the restaurant, but most of our time was spent in the farm which was hard work. (I didn't speak up on this though). - limited positive talk, only criticisms. Only go here if you aren't sensitive.

This was a unique volunteer gig, in a beautiful little seaside town. Some days are hard work outside farming, and some days are working in the restaurant washing dishes or organizing. There were some communication issues with the host - we were often given contradictory instructions which was frustrating. Robert is really big on communication, but ironically sometimes wouldn't communicate effectively with us. Some staff aren't very friendly or respectful when communicating with volunteers. Overall, it was a beautiful place to be and we loved having a private room and bathroom.

Robert exhibits narcissistic and manipulative traits; his kindness masks an offensive demeanor. He used unsafe vehicles without proper permits, forcing us to travel in substandard conditions. I endured until his behavior became violent, prompting me to leave earlier than planned, despite the additional costs. Coexistence was further strained by his partner Tania's hostile attitude towards the volunteers. The island we were staying on offered limited leisure options and was isolated, prompting us to leave early. Moreover, Robert threatened retaliation if he received negative feedback
