I had a really nice and relaxing week with the family, just what I needed after lots of trekking. the farm work was enjoyable the farm hours very reasonable. The family were extremely friendly and welcomed us into their home as if we were their own. The food was also a real highlight!

Rikesh, Rupa, Babu the farm whole family including the volunteers welcomed me as a family member from the beggining. There's always something going on, I even got invited to a wedding, and got to learn about self sustainability. For me the story of the family was really something I can look up to Hopefully next time I can stay for longer

Me and my friend stayed for 2 weeks at Ricky's family home, was such a great experience to learn about the culture and working ways of a Nepali farm. The hospitality was amazing and welcoming, the food was amazing and lots of it too! Highly recommend and would love to return at some point later in life

The 2 weeks I stayed with these wonderful hosts flew by! We spent our days either helping out around the farm, or relaxing at the nearby cafe (that we call the Garden) drinking iced coffee, YUM! Upon leaving, I felt a lot more educated on Nepalese culture, as well as the environmental and social aspects of Nepal. On our second day of staying, we attended a Nepalese wedding for a girl from the village. Overall, I had a very chilled out time, and recommend visiting Namo Buddha to anyone thinking of staying here :)

When we booked to stay for 2 weeks, I thought initially this was a long time but honestly it went too fast! the farm is a very homely place and has a family feel to it which extends amongst the group of travellers it attracts. The hosts were caring and flexible with working times if you were feeling tired or ill, and helped us organise a group bbq (etc) which was a great way to end the trip. Overall a fab place if you want a break from moving around, or just to feel a little bit more immersed in local culture. Ps, there's a great coffee shop nearby ;)

My experience volunteering at the farm was amazing! The family really welcomes all volunteers with open arms and makes you feel like part of the family. The work was easy going with a lot of free time to relax and explore the surroundings. The food is delicious and we all really enjoyed making momos together one afternoon :) I would recommend this experience to anyone!

We don't have enough characters to write about everything. In short, they were great. As soon as they learned that my wife is not good with mountain climbing and heavy lifting, they shifted her to kitchen. And I met the second truly hard-working person in my life, the mother, Sarita. She kept reminding me of my grandmother. I met a lot of great volunteers: Puk, Are, Agnee, Antonio, and Sarra. We met a few more but couldn't spend enough time. We'll definitely come back just to meet the family. Only thing I want to improve here, making a to-do list the night before so that we're better prepared.

My experience at Himalayan Farm Stay was like no other. I did not have any real knowledge about Nepal before visiting as it was a very Spontaneous trip. But this is the perfect place to learn about Nepal and be immersed in real culture. The entire family are extremely friendly and welcoming, they have plenty of suggestions for places to visit and if there are any celebrations happening the farm village at the time of your stay you are sure to be invited. Not forgetting to mention the food is absolutely amazing!!! I hope to return some time soon to revisit the friends I made here :)

My stay at the farm was incredible. The warm welcome from the whole family, including their three lovely dogs, instantly made me feel at home. Farm work was very rewarding, and I remain inspired by their work ethic. I also loved to help prepare food, notably one evening making Momos with the whole family. I enjoyed exploring nearby towns & the opportunity to share the experience with such a diverse set of volunteers. This place not only teaches farm life but also the warmth and kindness of the Nepali people. It was one of the best experiences of my life, one that will stay with me forever.
